Her Life

She was born in West Point, Wednesday, January 25, 1946, daughter of the late Daniel Allen (Pete) Williamson and Ethel Anderson Williamson. Annette was brought up in the West Point Baptist Church and graduated from West Point High School, Class of 1964. She attended Opelika Tech, Southern Union, and Columbus College. She was a graduate of The Dale Carnegie Program in Human Relations. Annette married Robert Bruce Gray Jr. in 1965 and they had two sons. After 23 years, the marriage ended. She found her beloved companion, Peter Geloso, in 2006 and was devoted to him until his death in 2013. Through the years, Annette was employed by West Point Pepperell, in clerical and computer positions, at MIC, Cotton Department, Engineering Department, Corporate Office, and at Apparel Division Office as an Accountant. She was a licensed Alabama Realtor. Annette’s adult years were spent in the Methodist Church and Faith Temple. She was active in Cub Scouts, the Lanett High School PTO and Band Boosters, Valley Jayceettes, and other Women’s clubs.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her children: Robert Bruce Gray III (Sarah) of Opelika; Daniel Allen Gray of Orlando; her grandson Jackson Thomas Wolters (Amy) of Auburn, great-grandchildren Brantley Grayson Wolters, Rachel Brooks Wolters, and John Sterling Wolters, and brothers Charles Williamson (Elizabeth) of Alexander City, and Dr. Daniel Williamson (Brinda) of Sylvester, GA.
