Her Life
June 20, 2012

Annie Bell (Knight) Leonard was born in Elmore County, AL, on April 8, 1915, to the late Ocie and Sadie Varner Knight. Annie was the oldest of eight children, all who preceded her in death.

She was the wife of the late Dock Leonard. From this union they had nine children: Bessie, Shirley, Bobby and Johnny Leonard of Rockford, AL: Billy Leonard Barbara) of Kellyton, AL: Jessie McGhee (Earnest), Louise Holmes (Robert, deceased) and Willie Leonard (Vinnie) of Birmingham, AL: and one daughter, Annie R. Leonard, who preceded her in death. She also raised her granddaughter, Angela Stowes (Terrance) and lovingly supported her other 10 grandchildren, 19 great-grand children, 1 great-great grandchild, nine nieces, three nephews and many other family and friends.

Annie loved the lord. She was a member of Mt. Sinai Baptist Church, Richville, AL, for many years until the church closed and she moved her membership to GoodGrove. She loved going to church and when she could no longer attend church, she enjoyed having bible study and talking about the Lord with her neighbor and dedicated friend, Mrs. Elsie Riggins.

Annie was very independent and took pride in taking care of herself as much as she could until she was admitted to the hospital. On June 7, Annie obeyed God's command and closed her eyes, leaving this place to join Him and many of her family members at at a beautiful place called eternity.
