My heart still aches because our Sweet Annie is no longer with us. Remembering and honoring this sweet lady today on what would have been her 85th birthday:

Annie Lou Meadows was a gift from God,
Someone to treasure and always applaud,
A mother and grandmother of high esteem,
For many of you know what I mean,
Fed all eight of her children from the breast,
And hushed them in her arms to rest,
A mother's love and concern at best,
A mother to cherish, uphold and bless,
Loved all of her grandchildren in every way,
The memories of her expressed love is here to stay,
Was there to lend an ear when any of us needed to call,
A woman who was there for us all and all,
Her endless patience kept all of us holding on,
Her strength remains even now that she's gone,
Heartbroken because she left us too soon,
Her uttering "I love you baby" is my new favorite tune,
Remembering her beauty and her radiant smile,

To the family, I know this seems hard to bare, just look to the heavens from where your help comes from. I find comfort in knowing that Sis Annie Lou Meadows knew who her Savior was and is now resting and waiting on Jesus to call her home. I will miss seeing her lovely smile and welcoming spirit. I would intentionally seek her out after service just to say hi. I will miss that as well. Love you Sis Annie Lou, Love you dearly.
