Her Life

A native of Equality, AL., she was the daughter of the late Clarence and Mary Caffee Watts.

She was a 1953 graduate of Elmore County Training School and attended Alabama State University. A military wife, she was a classroom educator, teaching stateside and abroad, traveling with her husband. Her last teaching assignment was at Stowlers Elementary School, Ft. Benning, GA. She was a faithful member of Cusseta Road Church Of Christ and a member of the Retired Sergeant Major Wives Club.

Other than her parents, she was preceded in death by four brothers, Lawrence, Clarence, Odell and Adell Watts.

Survivors include a loving and devoted husband of 59 years, CSM(Retired)Walter Pearson; her devoted children, Kassandra R. Pearson Smith(Larry), Kenneth R. Pearson and Karen S. Pearson Jenkins(Tony); five grandchildren, Illysa, Porsche, Taryn, Anthony and Eric; a great grandchild, Karessa; two sisters, Annie Will Zeigler and Bonnie C. Stewart(Charles); three sisters-in-law, two brothers-in-law and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, Church Family, neighbors and friends.
