Her Life

On Friday morning, March 13, 2015 at Baptist Medical Center South in Montgomery, AL, our beloved mother, Annie Charles Tellis, was called home to a land that is free from sickness, sorrow and pain. God with all of His love and mercy reached out His mighty hand and our loved one crossed over to eternal rest.

Annie Charles Tellis was born on April 2,1948 to the late Harold Hawkins and Dorothy Mae Tellis.

She accepted Christ at an early age and united with Mt. Silla Missionary Baptist Church.

She attended Bullock County Schools and worked at Bonnie Plant Farm for over two decades, where she enjoyed working.
Ms. Tellis leaves to cherish her memories, three children, Dorothy (Melvin) Nelson, Tampa, FL, Jarvis (Debbie) Mercer, Sr., Brandon, FL and Sean (Tawanda) Tellis, Sr., Montgomery, AL; one sister, Edith Tellis Thornton, Union Springs, AL; one aunt, Emma Jean Tellis, Union Springs, AL; one uncle, Clarence (Maxine) Tellis, Mt. Andrews, AL; six grandchildren, Correy (Jennifer) Allums, Riverview, FL, DeBreanna (Levi) Mercer, Jarvis Mercer II, Jeremiah Mercer, all of Brandon, FL, Sean Tellis, Jr. and Chloe Tellis, both of Montgomery, AL; two great-grandchildren, Levi Petithomme II, Brandon, FL and Jenesis Allums, Riverview, FL; special cousins, Terry Tellis, Union Springs, AL and Joanee Williams, Birmingham, AL; along with a host of other relatives and friends including a long-time family friend, Ida Mae Davenport.
