So go pour yourself your favorite drink, turn on the music and spend some time with our mom.  She'll be there with you as you laugh, sing, cry and dance in your seat.

God Bless

She was so sweet. She was always making everyone laugh, and her dancing skills were bomb. I am so privileged to have known her. Most grateful that she gave me Jessy. Fly high!!!

My sister Annie - Part 1- from Josephine Burt Chavez

Shared by Jessy Ybarra on February 22, 2021
The following 3 videos were recorded by my Auntie Yiki about her sister Annie.

She talks about her as a child and her desire to travel the world, which she indeed did!  She names several of the countries that she had visited.  She goes into my mom's love of going to the swap meet and collecting dishes, her cake decorating and her sewing.

She talks in depth about the wedding cake she made for my Uncle Chris's wedding and how she ended up missing the party because she got too tipsy and ended up passing out!  (She obviously learned from that mistake because she was known to dance and outlast all of us young & old)

My sister Annie - Part 2- from Josephine Burt Chavez

In this video Auntie Yiki talks about their trip to Italy in 2001 with my Auntie Maggie, Uncle Harry, Ninfa Lopez and her cousin.  How they met up with a Priest they knew, and went out to eat.

My sister Annie - Part 3- from Josephine Burt Chavez

In this final video my Auntie Yiki talks about my mom visiting her after she had gotten in an argument with my dad.  How much my grandma Burt adored my dad Tayo.  Her love of dancing, celebrating her birthdays and being a wonderful mother.

What a wonderful gift to hear about her through the eyes of her big sister. We will cherish these memories for many years to come!

Thank you Auntie Yiki we love you!
