Memories of Mom

May 8, 2015

Her children have many fond memories and thoughts about their mother…

Son Scott says: Mom read many books here on earth and now she gets to talk about them in person with the authors in heaven.

Daughter Barb remembers: Mom always used to say “You’ll get your reward in Heaven” for helping someone.

Son Terry was responsible for giving her the nickname Weasie – which ended up sticking for many years. Terry remembers mom always loved to whistle.

Daughter Karen says: The only time I got to sleep in when visiting from Minnesota was when mom fed my kids breakfast when they were little. There was no better gift for a tired mom.

Son Mark says: Mom loved ice cream cones and always made sure she had some on hand for the grandkids.

The baby, son Todd says: Mom knew I used to hate waking up in the morning for school, so she would tuck me into her bed for another 10 minutes which she called “The Recovery Room.”

Son Kurt says: Mom was always compassionate to underprivileged children and neighbor kids.

Daughter Karla says: After raisiing 11 children, she prayed that when she got to heaven the Lord would not put her in charge of the nursery.

Weasie-isms...
• Heavens to Betsy, sakes allive and whoop-tidoo.
