My darling Sister Tonia,
Where do I start? You were one Band of Faith member with a heart for others and a heart of gold. You were ever so loving, fair and true. You gave so much of yourself to the Society, taking care of every member at events and especially the Children of Faith who you were so passionate about. Indeed you always had my children’s gift packs saved whenever I wasn’t at a function. You were truly the ‘Gem of Faith’. May the Lord give your dear Husband and lovely children the fortitude to bear this great loss.
May your sweet and gentle soul rest in perfect peace.

My boss, Engr. Ogunsanya talked a lot about you all through the time we worked together..... Your loving relationship was super obvious and it was inspiring. I could tell you were a Proverbs 31 woman. You loved God and I know you are resting in His arms now. Nothing could be better! May God's comforting arms carry your family through this time and strengthen them in every way everyday in Jesus' name, amen.

Hmmm my dear sister and wifey like I used to address you, what can I say about this beautiful inside out extraordinary woman God gave us?
I met Tonia about 21 years ago in Church and we hit it off like sisters. Our relationship transcended the Band of Faith society and became a personal one extending to each other’s children whom each of us took as our own.
Tonia and I made sure we reach out to one another at least once a fortnight even in the pandemic especially after we moved to the island and I didn’t attend AVMCC every Sunday again.
We rubbed minds about many issues bothering us. Tonia will make it a duty to ask about her Baba Oko or Uncle as she referred to my husband and her small “okos“- my children.
Tonia had a very good sense of humor and we will gist and laugh and our airtime credits will finish and we will call each other back.
She gave of herself so selflessly in our society that we had almost made her a life social secretary looking after everyone at functions.
I thank God for the opportunity to see you physically and spend quality time with you on your last birthday and will cherish that last photograph we took together.
To say I will miss you is an understatement as I still go over our chat trail from time to time.
Take your deserved rest my darling sister and wifey in whom I am well pleased. Thank you for who you were to many of us.
Loved you till the very end

I went to condole with my friend Bolaji who lost a dear wife. At my visit everyone that came around poured out their hearts how wonderful you were. Kind, loving, and an ardent giver. I was so happy and I concluded that another saint has been called home. Tonia it's so unfortunate I never met you even when I discovered we are from the same tribe. Am happy and proud that you made my friend a home. You'll be greatly missed by those you left behind. Our consolation is that you're home where you're needed most. Rest on Ezigbo NNE.

My dearest Sis,
I give God the glory for your life.
I met you a few years back in Band of Faith Society of AVMCC and we just hit it off.
You were selfless, beautiful inside out and definitely no push over. Always serving, always looking after us and our children whatever the occasion.Never seated, always working to ensure everyone was comfortable and I, for one, "always wondered where the energy came from."
My Sis ,You have fought the good fight , finished the race and we known the crown of righteousness has been awarded to you by our Lord .
I will miss you my friend and sister but I know God loves you more.
Farewell Sis

Listic! My dear sister from a special mother. Indeed, words fail me. I shed a tear! We share a bond (last borns). The picture on my mind is of you smiling on Wednesday and trying to "arrange" yourself - little did I know that will be our last contact. You were truly a sister to me. I remember how each time I came to Nigeria, how you would abandon everything to show me Lagos life. Trips to the best places to buy "Ankara" and more. My daily devotions which you never failed to send. I could go on forever. You were a candle in the wind - a true gem. Thank you for marrying my brother Bolaji, for being the rock behind him, thank you for the children - Abiola, Bimbo and Derin. You carried the Ogunsanya name with pride and vigour. We shall all miss you Tonia. Listic, Adieu, goodnight and God bless. Rest in peace in the bossom of our Lord Jesus Christ. Amen. I shed a Tear!

"A great sister is never truly gone. Their spirit lives on in the memories of those who loved them."
Sis Tonia, you were a treasure to ‘Band of Faith’.
Loved by all and loving to all.
You surely left a mark behind.
May your kind and gentle spirit Rest In Peace.
You came, you saw, and you conquered!
May God fill the void you left behind for your husband, children, and our society.
Romans 14:8. For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord's.
You are the Lord’s and Heaven’s Gain!
Adieu Sweet Sis

My Wifey and Sister,

It's so hard to believe that God has taken you to rest with Him. You were such a thoughtful Sister, always ready to help in the Band of Faith activities. You were selfless and ever ready to look out for the interest of others. You hated any form of discrimination and you were quick to express your opinion. You loved whole heartedly and very caring. Your "Iya Oko" as you fondly call me, will miss your beautiful smile and hugs. Sleep on beloved until we meet on the resurrection day.

To a neighbor, friend and indeed a sister! The news of your departure was no doubt a rude shock to many, my self and family inclusive! With absolute faith in God, we have accepted what we heard. Our consolation is totally resigned in the bible position that says, "precious in the sight of the lord is the death of his saints".
On this note, we ask that you continue with the lord until we meet to path no more.
Good night!

What a beautiful life of kindness, generosity and good neighborliness spent together for about two decades!
Antonia was a virtuous woman of good Christian upbringing, a fantastic neighbor who demonstrated the spirit of how to be a neighbor’s keeper.
No doubt dear neighbor, wife, mother and friend, you will be surely missed. Please rest in the bossom of our dear Jesus until we meet in Heaven to part no more.
Good night and good bye.

Indeed, To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven: A time to be born, and a time to die. A time to plant and a time to pluck up that which is planted. - Eccl. 3 1-2.
Tonia, we thank God for your life though short lived. You were truly a beautiful woman inside and outside. You had a special place in your heart for all of us. You particularly served God through the Band of Faith. We thank God for blessing us with you.
Tonia, I have no doubt that you are resting peacefully with your maker. We love you but God loves you more. Adieu dear Sister.

Dear Aunty Anto, I do not know where to start from, still lost in my thoughts. Death wears a hood just as sisters do, it can never be removed. You will always live in me.
I sit here and Ponder how very much I' d love to talk to you today, there are so many things that we didn't get to say, I know how much you cared for everyone. An angel came and took you by the hand and said your place was ready for heaven. And you had to leave behind all those you dearly loved. You had so much to live for, you had a lot to do and achieve, it's still so impossible to believe God is taking you to start a new life up above us all. You will live for ever as God has promised you. Although you have walked through heavens gate, we are never part. I think of you always and I feel your presence. Sleep on aunt.

It's been over ten years our paths crossed as tenants. Like every other, we got stocked to your kind and ever receptive warmth. In our troubled times, you stood strong in prayers that we may overcome. Just when about time to smile we search in vain for your honored presence but no more. We cried and grieved but only He knows best. You will be forever missed!

Rest in peace, the Peacemaker!

Dear Aunty, the news of your death came as a rude shock to me from IK Gbandi. I never knew you were sick because you prayed for me over the phone with uncle BJ just this 2021 January when I was sick and you constantly checked on me via WhatsApp and calls till I got well. Gosh, I wish I had the slightest idea that you were sick, I would have done same for you because you were such a wonderful, nice, simple and caring woman, you carry other people's needs on your shoulders offering the best advice always. Ahhh, ezigbo madu anaa but who are we to question God? He knows, He is aware, it's only Him alone that can give us especially your children and husband the fortitude to bear this great loss. I will miss you so dearly, I will miss the daily devotional messages you send to me every 5:00am, my heart breaks Aunty. Sleep well until the resurrection morning Aunty. Adaeze
