Our Anthony
We were fortunate to have enjoyed many Thanksgiving celebrations in recent years with Anthony. Those were times we could look forward to, catching up with him and sharing news from the previous year.
Anthony always expressed his pride for his children, Jill and TC; he had a huge crooked grin every-time he spoke of his grandchildren.
We reminisced and laughed about growing up in Cohoes. We shared memories of our mother "Tootsie," our father, Frank Sr. and our oddly nicknamed relatives: Uncles "Corn" & "Fat."
Dinner started with a toast and ended with a family tradition when each person would say or write down what they were most thankful for... Anthony always gave thanks for his family.
We remember our Anthony, his free-spirit, the love for his family, friends and life in New York City. We remember his kindness, his bold Connelly gusto, his fun-loving nature, and that he lived life on his own terms.
We remember and will always be thankful for the goodness that Anthony brought to our lives; for the gift of those celebrations spent together is what will carry us through... until we meet again.
Anthony, you will always be in our thoughts and prayers. We will miss you darlin... Vicci and Frank Connelly-
Growing up
When I was a kid, my dad used to take us horseback riding and to Hoffman's playland. When we were teenagers we used to take a Greyhound bus to NYC and he would take us sightseeing to the Empire State Building, World Trade Center, Intrepid, etc. When I was 19 I did an internship in NY and lived with him for the summer. He would make me lunch and take me to work each day. More recently he enjoyed traveling to Virginia and California to visit his grandchildren. In March he went to LA to see Sierra and Jack in a play and visit our cabin in Big Bear.
