My darling, we were married 51 years ago today. We were supposed to create happy memories in our retirement and grow old together but, alas, it was not to be! I miss you so much, dear! All my love, Sheila xxx

50 years ago today we started our married life together. We shared some wonderful times and met some great people from all over the world - Tony never knew a stranger!
Your kiss, your touch The sound of your voice Your smile, your laugh The twinkle in your eyes Oh, how I miss you my love!
Sheila, I know you probably won't remember me, but my daughter Darci and I visited London in 2008 and you and Tony invited us to your home. Your lovely daughter picked us up at the airport and Tony took us on a day trip and arranged tours. We live in North Texas, and you both made us feel welcome and treated us as old friends. I had such a wonderful visit. I am thinking about a return visit and wanted to look you and Tony up while there. Searching for a contact address, I found this site. My heart goes out to you. I just wanted you to know that you both made our trip an experience I'll never forget. God bless you. I'm so sorry for your loss.
Good memories of Tony & his brothers camping in my back garden in the late 60's & early 1970's. Also his fondness for my mother's home made coffee cake. God Bless Tony............... Gill, Scouse & Mark
Happy 69th birthday, my darling! I hope you know I love and miss you so much! I just noticed the first tribute. It was four years ago today that I created this memorial website and it has been really successful, which says so much about you and the man you were. I come back from time to time just to read the wonderful tributes.
Hi Sheila! Thinking of Tony not only because of his birthday, but concerning the latest attack! I remember my meetings with Tony and my german colleagues exactly at this point, when he picked us to show us the parliament! Unbelievable. I can not write what I feel, because it would be not political correct! I found some slides showing Tony, Mica and some friends of mine … on the first JACK THE RIPPER TOUR! Others pictures showed us during a winetasting in Germany and then Tony as taxi driver. In spite of everything, we wish you a very fine day!!!
Happy birthday Tony. You are loved and remembered always and not a day goes by when we don't think of you and Sheila and the happy times we shared together. Love Graham and Margaret.
We think of you often and miss you regularly. The attack in London makes this day even more poignant. We hold such fond memories of the few short years we were close. Much love to Sheila.
A day doesn't go by that King and I don't think of Tony and all of the joy that he brought to others. We will always treasure the time we had with both of you. We are thinking of you today Sheila.
Tony, you were on my mind so much today after the attack on the Palace of Westminster, It brought back to me the life we shared at that time and the fun we had while you were there! I got quite upset but then I sensed your presence and knew you were close by comforting me. Thank you, my Darling! xxx
We think of you so often Tony, and laugh at the great memories you helped us create on our trip to London. You were truly a unique spirit with a wonderful heart. May God bless you and keep you safe. Tina & Carl Dickens
Tony, hard to believe it's been 4 yrs. Things just haven't been the same since your passing. Last March your good buddy Ed left and is now with you. Needless to say I think of you often and your friendship over the years.
Tony, we continue to miss you all the time. You were an amazing friend and a great person! My return trip to Normandy was incredible, and I owe that to you. I thought of you every single day while touring.
"Forever in our Hearts".....Forever in our great memories. Such a Gentle Giant! We just returned from London and your name was mentioned daily. Everywhere we walked...everything we did we remembered you. We miss you Tony...
Another year has come and gone, my dear and I miss you. My heart still aches with sadness and many times tears still flow. What it meant to lose you no-one will ever know. I hold you close within my heart, and there you will remain, To walk with me throughout my life - until we meet again.
Well, my dear, I see things have slowed down on this site but I am sure this is quite natural. You have been gone for almost four years now and, although my memories are still so vivid and real, people move on with their lives. I was thinking of you so much yesterday on 9/11. That is another day that is etched in my memories. You had been out in your cab in the morning and had come home for your lunch and "siesta" before going back out for your evening shift. I remember getting a phone call from your friend at the Pentagon, who was due to visit London the following week, and he told me to turn on the TV and that he would get back to us later. I did as he said and could not believe what I was seeing! I ran into the bedroom and woke you up and said you needed to come and see what had happened, not knowing there was much worse to come. We both sat and watched the terrible events unfold over the next hours. When the Pentagon was hit we were so worried about JIm, but he called to let us know he was okay. I cried a lot yesterday. I love and miss you, dear! xxx
We miss you, dear friend! Thank you for introducing me to the Normandy battlefields in 2007. I am taking a group of four friends there for several days of touring in June, and I dedicate the trip to you!
Dearest Sheila and Tony, This is a beautiful memorial! Tony I/we miss you so much! Your handsome smile, your kind ways, your gentle heart and your humor! I know heaven is a better place with you there...Sheila you are being thought of in a more special way on Tony's bday and all of this week! Hope you feel God's special comfort and peace, and Tony's touch. Love you,
My dear Tony, We spent lots of birthdays together, Celebrations which we thought we would share forever; But time passes so quickly and life deals its cards. Now life without you, my love, is so very hard! So, I will raise a glass in a toast to you today To celebrate with you your 68th birthday. I hope you can see from up above How much I miss you, my dearest love.
Most of the best times in my life have been spent with Tony and you. I miss the thought that I will never see Tony again. He shared his life with so many people and nothing was ever to much trouble. Too many memories to share here. You know Sheila because you shared a lot of it with me. Lots of Love
Tony was a wonderful man and we think of him daily and how much we miss him. He was so kind to everyone. Keeping you in our thoughts today Sheila as you treasure the precious memories of your life with Tony. King and I will make a toast this evening to a great man!
Happy Birthday Tony. Your good buddy Ed left us March 7. I pray that you two have met up and are enjoying each other's company again. I miss you and Ed. RIP
Dearest Sheila, too many memories to put here, they are all wonderful. Staying with you and Tony for four months and meeting my husband. Everyday with you and Tony was fun, exciting and always filled with love. I will always miss Tony. He was a fantastic man. Always a laugh and a sparkle in his eye. He loved you so much. You both touch the lives of so many people. You never met a stranger. I love you both so much and always will. The world is a little sadder with out our sunshine.
I can recall how Tony and his brothers visited my parents house in Southoe, Huntingdonshire in the late 1960’s. They used to camp in the back garden and Tony had a huge liking for my mums home-made coffee cake.
Southoe is a small rural village, even smaller back then in the late 1960’s. I was 8 or 9 years old and I took them for a walk aroundthe village. They suddenly all got very excited at a field containing cows. None of them had ever seen a real live cow before.
This year, American Airlines and Stand Up To Cancer partnered to provide a very special, once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for employees to add a loved one’s name to a plane in honor of those who are cancer survivors as well as those who lost their battle with cancer. For a very small donation to SUTC, the name of the person they stand up for was added to an Airbus A231. The plane is wrapped with a special SUTC design that includes the names submitted.
Tony's name is on the right side behind the wing on the black arrow. You can see it in the Gallery.
Today he flew from DFW to SFO!
This is so neat - enjoy your trips, my darling! Maybe I will take a trip on the plane one day.
Thank you for this American Airlines, it means so much to so many people!
Today was such a sad day for me. I finally had to accept that Tony's car had to go as it is 19 years old and needs a new engine. Memories came flooding back, of course, and those memories started to run down my cheeks. I was losing another little bit of Tony and he seemed to be getting further away from me. I decided to donate the car to the Make a Wish Foundation and I know Tony would like to think the old car would help those brave children in some way - we met so many of them at M.D. Anderson in Houston. They made it really easy and picked it up and I didn't even have to be there to see it go.
