Anthony was born Anthony Silva Soares on Janurary 13th, 1926. He was the first child of Antone Silva Soares and Laura Muniz.  They lived in San Diego, California. 

Anthony went to Washington School and San Diego High prior to serving his county in the United States Army during World War II.  Upon return he completed his high school education at Sweetwater High School.  He then went to work for the City of National City as a heavy equipment operator.  Later Anthony became foreman of the Street Department.  He worked for the City for 32 years.

In 1941 Anthony met Beverly Adelle Gee and they were married 3 years later.  Eventually they had two children Michael and Vickie.  Anthony and Beverly remained married until Beverly passed away in 2005.  He lit a candle for her every day after her death.  They were married for 61 years. 

Anthony spent many hours gardening and maintaining a beautiful home for his family.  He was known for being a devoted father and grandfather.  Anthony was a remarkably intelligent and hardworking man.  He was a perfect example of what a husband and father should aspire to be.  He made a lasiting impression on everyone he met.  Above all he was a man of great integrity, family devotion and love.
