I met daddy when I went to introduce myself as my wife's husband.  Daddy was so nice joking that I look as if he is my father. Henceforth we had a strong father and son relationship. He had an uncanny ability to make me laugh. He was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather, and father-in-law.  He is now in God's hands. When God takes us home, we shall celebrate with you Daddy. My Father-in-Law will live on in our hearts forever. Distance made it difficult for you to be a part of our daily lives, but I treasured the small moments we shared whenever we were together. Rest in perfect peace Sir.

Tribute to my loving and caring Dad, Chief Anthony Oladimeji Ladapo
Your love was an indication and an integral part of my overall marital happiness.
You poured your heart into my dearest husband, you told him how much I cared for you and how grateful you were to have me as a daughter-in-law.
If I had to do my life over
I’d chose you to be my dad.
I love you and honor you.
I am happy to call you my dad and am proud to be your daughter-in-law.
As a father-in-law and a father figure, your absence left a deep wound in my heart. It is sad to feel that you are no more with us on earth, but your love and peaceful memories are still our guide.
AJITULAD!! AJITULAD!!
You meant the world to me.
Your love and smile was always pure;
You treated me as your own.
You always took me as your real daughter, instead of just saying daughter-in-law.
I love you and I always will,
You filled a space that no one will ever replace.
You are gone, but you will never be forgotten.
I lost you, but I did not lose you as a model of my husband’s life.
Rest In Peace till we meet again.

It’s really hard doing this at this time. I wish I was doing it for your 90th birthday. Dad, as I fondly call you, your departure is really hard on me. I can’t refer to you in the past. Baba mi Omo Ajisuwon. The world’s best dad. I can’t believe you are gone and I don’t think I will ever come to terms with the fact that I won’t see you anymore. I cherish our last minutes together. You loved us till your last breath. Baba mi Omoola, slow to anger, never a dull moment with you. You were full of humor and generous to a fault. You generosity paved way for us all your children everywhere we went. Mere mention of your name got us everything. I remember my days in Unijos. You worked in Jos years before I went to school there and everyone who knew I was your daughter treated like theirs. My friends cherished the relationship you had with us. We could tell you anything and everything. Baba mi oniwa tutu bi adaba. You don’t quarrel or get angry. Always at peace with everyone. A perfect gentleman. My father the neat and perfect dresser. I got my fashion sense from you. A hardworking man. You taught us your children to be hardworking. A very honest and God fearing man. You loved God and served Him with all your had. I thank God for the path you led us through.
My consolation is that you are resting in the bosom of the Almighty God, and I’ll see you again. Baba mi Ajitoni oko Oyebisi, baba Bimbola, Bukola, Ayodele, Olatunde, and Oluyomi. Sun re oo

To my beloved grandfather, Chief Anthony Oladimeji Ladapo, I feel incredibly honored to be your granddaughter. You were and continue to be a pivotal figure in my life, shaping me into the person I am today. I am grateful to have known such a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. Grandpa was a selfless and compassionate individual. My grandfather was a man that never thought twice about jumping to help someone in need. He was incredibly generous and charismatic. My grandfather was a loving person that always had a smile when he looked at me. Being his first granddaughter, I was always spoiled and showered with love by him as a child. There is no doubt in my mind that he took pride in being my grandfather, and I am proud to be his granddaughter. I pray that you keep an eye on me and are proud of me in every endeavor I undertake. I am very saddened that you are gone, but I know that you have gone to rest with our Father in Heaven. I'm so thankful for the great times my grandfather and I shared.
I love you so much Grandpa.

Grandpa I can’t describe how much I miss you. Even though I didn’t have a lot of time to get to know you. But I get to see you every single day through my mom. You brought her up to be the amazing, strong, and independent women she is today, and I want to thank you for that. I remember those times when I was younger and you used to scold me for running around and at the age I was, I didn’t understand why you wouldn’t just let me. But now I’ve come to the understanding that you wanted the best for me you didn’t want me to accidentally hurt myself or get in more trouble with my parents. When you left I saw the true affect you had on everyone’s lives and just by that I know that you were a great man.

There’s a quote that states, “I can no longer see you with my eyes or touch you with my hands, but I will feel you in my heart forever.” Even now, it’s tough for us to admit that our grandfather, Chief Anthony Oladimeji Ladapo has gone to rest. Nevertheless, he has gone to rest with his maker. We remember our grandfather's impact, not just on us but everyone he encountered. We'll remember our grandfather's hugs and his infectious laugh. Through the tears and pain, we are reminded that “he left a legacy for us. It’s time to continue his legacy by helping others just as he did". Through the grace of God, we will meet again. Until then, rest in peace grandpa.

What is the measure of a man? Is it the amount of money he has? The possessions he owns and the power he holds? NO
The true measure of a man is how much love he gives; how selflessly he shares whatever he can to help others; how consistently he lifts up those around him and how passionately he serves our lord and saviour JESUS CHRIST. By this standard grandpa was immeasurable.

We lost a father, a grandfather, a life giver and a God lover But only in body, not in spirit. In spirit, you are in a better place in heaven. This is our joy, this is our satisfaction. Your memory lives on for your impact isn't in the sand of time but in the heart of men. Rest well grand pa.

You have lived well sir. You have raised Godly seeds and the legacies you left behind will continue the good work.

Just like Apostle Paul said , I have fought a good fight. I have finished my course, i have kept the faith..2Timothy 4.7

Indeed you fought a good fight and you kept the faith. May the good Lord you served reward you with heavenly crown and treasures in Jesus Name, Amen.

TRIBUTE TO AN ICON

Precious in the sight of the LORD is the death of his saints (Ps 116:15)

Baba! The story of your life is likened to that of father Abraham.

Your sojourn on earth left indelible and giant footprints in the sands of time.

A life filled with this faith lesson  that age is no barrier to creating a new beginning in Christ. Your exploits in life are pointers to this. You lived a meaningful,  purpose fulfilling life.

I was privileged to have met this ICON, Baba, Grandpa, Chief, Elder Anthony Ladapo during one of his visits to Kano. Looking at him, you will quickly behold and feel  the aura of peace of the  Lord all around him. Calm and unassuming.

Baba, you lived an accomplished life.

Rest in peace Baba.
