This memorial website was created in memory of our loved one, Antonio Lu 74 years old, born on March 15, 1946 and passed away on January 8, 2021. We will remember him forever.

Antonio was born at Gubat, Sorsogon / Philippines to parents, Roque L. Lu and Juana Dino in March of 1946. Tony loved his family, loved Asian food, loved to watch movies during his retirement, was a stamp and coin collector as a hobby, and lastly loved to go to their vacation home in Sacramento with his wife Cora and pet, Bella.

Tony is a veteran, he enlisted with the United States Navy in November of 1966. Graduated college from MAPUA Institute of Technology with Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering degree and worked as an Electrical Engineer while at the Philippines to raise his family. In 1984, he moved his whole family to the United States of America, and has lived in San Jose, California ever since. Tony retired from the United States Postal Service after eighteen years of service.

He leaves behind his wife, Cora and three children, Marissa & Fernando Cruz-Hernandez, Vivian Lu and Ted & Marlene Lu as well as grandchildren, Ava Lu, Tyson Lu, and Trinity Cruz-Hernandez (who also passed three years ago). Tony loved his pets now in heaven, Lady and Harry. He leaves behind his miniature dachshund, Bella in the care of his wife, who is now technically Cora’s dog.

A small, outdoor invitation only funeral mass will be held at Saint Francis of Assisi at San Jose, CA on March 12th, 2021 at 2:00pm along with a committal service (placing of the urn) will be held at 3:00pm. Due to the current situation with the pandemic, guests have been limited to 25 only. His family will be present to welcome all loved ones from near and far. For those unable to attend, you can attend from afar.

My family met Kuya Tony and Ate Cora at Dovehill/St Francis community. Both were very supportive of the events of the community. When Dovehill community was dissolved because of poor census, we continue to communicate especially during occasions. I am grateful that they took us in as their extended family.
Kuya Tony, may your soul Rest In Peace now. Don’t worry I’ll be checking on Ate Cora and Bella and hope that one day I’ll see them too. To the Lu family, rest assured of my prayers for all of you.

It’s my pleasure knowing both of you. My own version of Mr Brad Pitt (Kuya Tony) and Ate Cora (Angelina Jolie). We had so much fun in the office every time you had your dental cleaning/treatment. You are truly a comedian. How we laughed so hard every time you were at the office. Thank you for the happy memories. You will be missed.
