April was full of life and fun to be around. Always a smile and loaded with humor and wit. (She got that from mommy Kim). I liked the way she would listen to my conversations, whether it was with Kim or Donald, deep attention, never taking her eyes or ears off me and staying focused with deep interest and curiousity. We exchanged lots of witty cracks and comments. Such a fun loving girl to be in the company of. I miss her and Donald so much.

Sweet April had the prettiest smile and she was so loved by her family & friends. I’m so thankful I got to know you and see you often. You were a great mother to your boys and when I see them, I think of you! I see you through them. I know you always made your mom so proud! I think of you often, but know you are always near! ❤️

The first time I met your mom I was home on leave from England, where I was serving in the Air Force. We were at my parentsz’ house (Aunt Dotsey and Uncle B-John’s) I looked at her and asked, “And who do we have here?”new
She walked right up to me, put her hands on her hips, cocked her head to one side and declared, with all the confidence in the world, “My name is April Dawn Veach and I’m four years old!” (showing me four fingers on one hand) then she prissed herself away. She was so cute and precious! She won my heart right then and there! From then on, whenever I saw her again, I would greet her by saying, “Hello, April Dawn Veach!” Until I was told, “We don’t use that last name anymore.”
Now that she is in Heaven the Bible says that God has given her a new name that only she and He know. Isn’t that cool?

I never actually got to know your mom, but her passing helped bring our families together. And getting to know you boys, tells me all I need to know about what kind of person your mom was. You are her living legacy, and you are doing a great job carrying on her love and joy for life. It has been a pleasure getting to know you both, and love the men you are becoming. Stay close to God, as He will help you navigate the road ahead. You are loved by many. "May the Lord bless you and keep you; the Lord make his face shine on you and be gracious to you; the Lord turn his face toward you and give you peace." Numbers 6:24-26
