At this late night hour, I would like to say that:", long before, white folks as our neighbors, brothes, sisters cousins, friends, on Noble Ave the Caldwell, and the Skerritt family formed, but, before that,APRIL  was my friend...

April you were so smart, loving to families, and stronger than you will ever know.  When I think of you I will cherish the talks we shared about life and our purpose here on earth. Our connections to each other and why they are so important.
I will cherish your fierce fight for what you believed to be true and your never ending love for your family.
May you now be enveloped in our never ending love for you

I would like to thank you for your support while working at Harlem Renaissance High School. I will miss your laughter and all those cakes you would bring in for celbations.  The student parents also will miss you April:

The student parents have written letters to you stating that you were like a second mother to them. Grace Brady stated" I remember when my son was not speaking at all, and Ms. April said to me don't worry Grace, just keep reading to him, talking to him and tell him to count his numbers and say his colors. April brought comfort to me. Ms. Ciara Coleman stated" Ms. April really cared about me and Skye. She would tell me to be strong and finish school. I will always think about her.:

Rest in Power April.

To my wife, my best friend, the mother of our children, my twin ( we were called my many), my ride or die, the love of my life, I thank you for all the great memories. I thank you for Loving me unconditionally, for always having my back, for our beautiful family, for sharing your love of books with me, for introducing me to Steven King novels ( especially the Stand our favorite book), thank you for all the card games ( just so you know I let you win ), thank you for walking beside me through the trenches until we saw a glimmer of hope, thanks for believing in us when we went at each other, thanks for all the basketball games that we refereed together, thank you for the wonderful vacations we both enjoyed ( especially Barbados ), thank you for all the little notes you would leave for me in my mailbox to meet you when you walked your dog, thank you for answering me when I now call out to you for strength and direction, as Nicholas told me " grandma is with God now, she is in a better place." Thank you for all the lessons learned while you were here and all the lessons you taught me after you got your wings. I finally figured learning how to work the remote ( you always had it in your hand ), thank you for being you most of all. The kids and I are pulling up our big people pants and becoming a stronger family as you wished. You will be forever missed, but never forgotten. S.I.P. Honey until we meet again. I Will ALWAYS LOVE YOU!!!!! GONE TO SOON!!!!!   Vance
