MR. ARCHIE BENNETT
HASSELL, JR. was born February
15, 1947 to The Late Archie Bennett
Hassell, Sr. and The Late Mary
Lou Williams Hassell in Tuskegee,
Alabama. He answered the call of our
Heavenly Father on Friday, November
13, 2015. His sister, Dorothy Jean
Moore and nephew, Sylvester Moore
preceded him in death.
At an early age, he accepted Christ
as his Lord and Savior. He joined
Bethany Seventh Day Adventist Church and later attended various
churches which included Pilgrim Rest Baptist Church and Friendship
Mission Church.

Archie attended Booker T. Washington High School and later, he
joined the Job Corp at Tennessee State University where he learned
a trade in construction. He held various jobs that included Lambert
Construction and Bes- Pak. He was a diligent worker.
Archie united in holy matrimony with Annette Goldsmith in 1976,
and to this union God blessed them with twin boys, Kenyatte’
Derone Hassell and Zenyatte’Gerone Hassell.

He leaves to cherish his memories, two sons: Kenyatte (Jamecia)
Hassell and Zenyatte Hassell, both of Montgomery, AL; five
grandchildren: Kayla Hassell, Zaria Hassell, Alexis Hassell, Kenyae
Hassell and Kensley Hassell; one aunt: Susie Alice Williams; one
step-sister: Barbara Jean Hassell; four nieces, Sylvetta Jean Moore,
Jennifer Hassell, Jacqueline Russell, Jasmine Russell, and a host of
nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Two devoted cousins:
Alice LaFaye Avery and Barbara Menefee.
