Today it is six long lonely years since the love of my life left this world.Every day I miss his love, his larger than life presence, humour, enthusiasm and partnership.If there is life after death, I surely wish to be reunited with this amazing man.

Remembering Archie, my Mediterranean Manors friend.  All those times playing bocce ball and euchre with his always smiling face, were so much fun.

James and I met Archie and Jenny during a visit I think it was in 2008. We had such a wonderful visit. Archie was such a wonderful host and we truly enjoyed his sense of humor. We only met him the one time but we kept in touch via e-mail (lots of jokes). We will remember him for a long time. Rest in peace sweet man. We do not have our photos from the trip. Somewhere in between new computers they were lost. James & Mary Graham

My goodness, a year and a half have passed since Archie left us! Time marches on unmercifully. We still miss him and his super-sized personality. What a man! He was generosity personified. We miss his hospitality, his charm and his sense of humour; always thinking about others with little regard for himself, denying the pain that wracked his back for such a long time. He left a hole too large to fill...

There has been a buzz word going around lately, particularly in education. That word is 'yet' and symbolizes the belief in a growth mindset, that there is no 'no' and that everything is achievable in time. This is what comes to mind instantly when I think of Archie.
For him there was no 'no'. No matter the task, the struggle or the problem, he faced each with the conviction that all will be mastered. Whenever I approached him with a problem or a situation he never once said he would need to think about helping out. His response was always an unequivocal 'yes'. Such was the character of this generous man.

Exactly one year ago I lost the love of my life....fifty one years of love,dancing,travel, many wonderful memories made with this incredible man who loved me and his family with great zest and passion.My grief is bottomless...beyond all tears and explanation and it is not getting easier.

We met Archie and Janina ten years ago, soon after we moved to Norfolk County, and became firm friends. We met through dance and spent many happy occasions together at dances and on other social occasions. Archie was the consumate host, ever ready to keep your glass full, and along with Janina, to ensure you were well fed. He was always jovial, complimentary and eager to put you at ease. He was an adventurer and devoted family man. Taken too soon and too suddenly, we miss him enormously. He will remain in our memories and in our hearts.

I was very sorry to hear of Archie's passing. We grew up together until teenage years because we lived near. We got separated because he went to Canada. After I never met him although he came here to visit parents. A few years ago we again contacted via E-mail. I will remember Arsen / Archie for ever and ever as a happy, full of spirit human being with a big heart who welcomed everyone into his home. Our sympathy to you and your family.

We were saddened to learn of Archie's death, and we are thinking of you all. Words fail me. Archie had that certain sparkle that made life great fun for everyone he knew. We will miss him. My mother sends her condolences as well; she is currently is hospital with complications of lymphoma. We reminisced about the past, and my mother recalled when Archie was staying with us. One evening, I guess you two had a spat and he got in his car and drove all the way to Atikokan to clear things up. He loved his family, and he loved you. That has always been abundantly clear.
