Ariel JoAnn Howard, our miracle baby girl received her heavenly wings November 24, 2020. We were blessed with her entering our lives on January 23, 1984 in Dayton, Ohio.

Even when facing personal health challenges nothing stopped Ariel from enjoying her best life. Her eyes, her smile and her bubbly personality has been a gift to us all. Ariel will be missed by her family, friends and acquaintances because of the lasting impression she’s left on your hearts.
Ariel is preceded in death by grandmothers, Susie A. Wells Shepherd, Ruby J. Howard and grandfather, Hugh Shepherd Sr. She is survived by her parents. Anita, Ariel was so blessed that God chose you guys as her parents. And we truly thank you for allowing her to be a part of our lives through His Ability Over Disability and the Special Olympics. Her smile, enthusiasm and attitude taught us important lessons about God's unconditional love.  Ariel's words, "Stay in your lane baby" during practices always put a smile on our faces and joy in our hearts.

Whether in practice or local competitions, Ariel always did her best. Her best was always good enough and even allowed her to compete at the Special Olympics Ohio State University. So many good times and good memories; Ariel will be greatly missed.

We extend our condolences to each of you and the family and pray for strength, comfort and peace as only God can give.

Yours in Christ, Marion and Coach Vee
