Mummy Ladele as we would always call her, was my twin mothers friend of over 40 years. They attended the same church growing up and she was always at any of the family gatherings.
She loved baking. She made my 10th birthday cake likewise my brother Sola's 1st birthday cake. She was so in tune with the cake designs and flavour, to think of making a guitar and butterfly cake back in the 80s. I remember we all looking forward to visit her home because of cakes..lol.
What fond memories we have of her.

News of your home going came at a surprise, but God knows best. You left us with fun memories of accommodation, care and love. You had a big heart that marvels everyone. I sometimes joke with dele that you have more attachey sons and daughters, than your biological ones because of the true love you showed to everyone regardless of their background, race or creed. Well, we'd hoped to see you in nigeria but surely we shall see you in heaven; in paradise; at the bossom of Abraham; at the feet of Our LORD Jesus Christ and at the throne of our GOD whose name is JEHOVAH. We love ma and we'll miss you greatly.

It has finally come to my reality that you have gone to rest from this sinful world. Mummy awon boys, like we used to call you back then. You have a big kind heart taking me and others in as sons and daughters even though you never knew us previously. I remember the first time I met you and the love u showered on myself. No one that got into our house was a stranger to you. Haaaa your pot was accessed to aĺl even though some of us did not have such privilege at home. You stood up in our defence in public and declared to anyone that care to listen that I and others are your children. There was no difference between biological children and other children. Thank you GranMa for all your advices and support. It's really hard to put a tribute. You are grateful missed.

Mummy Dacosta...you are a Blessed mother, very hardworking and very large hearted . It's even difficult to write about you in past tense, you will forever remain Present in our hearts❤️.

On behalf of all your son Oladele's friends and colleagues I want to say a big Thank you for accommodating us and treating us like one of your own children. No matter how many of us stormed your house in Mile 2 ,you always welcomed us , fed us, Advised us and generally helped us in any way possible on our life journey.

I remember even In University days, when you came to see Oladele and asked him to call us all to come and take the food you brought for us.
The real truth is that some of us didn't even have from our own homes the kind of love you so freely gave to us...Ahhhhh! Aye laajo, orun ni ile oh.

Thank you for everything mummy. Continue to Rest in the Lord, till we meet again in foreverland.

Angela Arinola Da Costa aka "my wife" fondly called by me was a good friend and sister in the lord. We were introduced in 1986 and since then she became a very good friend. She was also a good mother not only to her children but to my own children also, thats why she was a godmother to my daughter.
Sleep well my dear friend. May God grant you eternal rest.

Anti Arin, as I fondly call her, was a beautiful soul, kind hearted, humble, loving, accommodating, warm and a Christian, who loved the Lord.
The news of your transition came to me as a rude shock and it still feels like a bad dream.

I remember when we were in school at Ogbomoso, no one could compete with you on the dance floor during our Social Gatherings on Saturday nights. It was real fun. I still remember those days with nostalgia. You took good care of me and ensured that your friends did same. We shared good times also when on holidays in Lagos and you introduced me to some of your friends at Obalende, no wonder it was easy for you to choose me as your Chief Bridesmaid, even though you had many friends who could perform that role.

You were very down to earth, not minding that I am your younger sister, we shared each other's burden prayerfully. You loved the Lord and at every given opportunity you invited me to your church during special occasions.

Who am I to question the Lord Almighty for taking you away from us now. My consolation is that you loved and served the Lord so I am confident that you are resting in the bosom of the Lord.
Adieu my dear Sister. We love you but God loves you more. Rest in Peace, Arinola, omo Olokun esin. Sun re o.

TRIBUTE OF THE BUSY BEES SOCIETY OF JEHOVAH SHALOM CATHEDRAL

Our dear sister Angela Arinola DaCosta, our past president, the news of your demise came to us as a rude awakening.

Leaving us at this time, has made us to understand once again, that God has times and seasons in His hands and also He is an unquestionable God.

We however took solace in the fact that you lived a godly and fulfilled life though short to us.

We thank God for your life you will ever remain in our heart. Prov. 10:7 says "The memory of the just is blessed"

The news of your demise came to me as a rude shock. You were such a loving Mum.
Could remember growing up how you carry yourself elegantly effortlessly. How you dress up for occasions elegantly.
Fast forward to my Uni days with Ladele. I became closer to you. Then, we talk more. One could tell how much you care for your boys and people around you. You cared so much about our well being in Ogbomoso. Our accommodation and whatever to make us comfortable.
You 've lived a good life, you've finished your race. Rest well Mum.
Words are inadequate to offer in a time like this to the family, may heaven console you and keep you all. My deepest condolences.
May God rest your humble soul Mum.

Ma Daco like I fondly called you, you were a blessing and a beautiful soul who loved people so effortlessly, every one that came your way was a child to you, you were such a beautiful mother in law who took every daughter brought in as her own. One word you always said to me was Belinda mi o le fi i ya je iyawo omo mi, e yi ni obirin ti mo bi. I miss our long talks and the encouragements. Had to tell the children you are gone and Olamide cried so much that why would it be his grandma he want his grandma back and Feyi kept saying but I miss grandma. You lived a good life and you were a blessing to so many. Rest on sweet mother.

Mama Awon Boys

June 6, 2021
Mummy,
We fondly called you mama awon boys. You not just that even to older friends of daddy, you that to all your children and their friends. Everyone keeps calling and telling me Mama Daco "mummy gbogbo wa ni".
I was reminded how you would still create time to find out if a friend of your son that came to your home at 11:000pm late in the night had eaten. You would still make arrangement to ensure he took something before going to bed, even if it's indomie.
I remember some time back when we finished the whole cooler of rice prepared  for the house by bringing in friends. You didn't complain since we enjoyed the fish stew. You just arranged for another bigger quantity of rice incase we needed more.
When it comes to food you would always ask "So fe je si?". You were always caring and Catering. Little wonder Late Pa. Orekoya will always demand only for your food.
My friends will always say they want to introduce their finacé to you because they trusted your candid and sincere advice.
You were always our free caterer anytime anyday. We will miss your Friday Moimoi.
I will miss your 24hour call ahead for what I will eat before getting home. Words cannot quantify your caring value.

You will be dearly missed. Adieu Mama

Mama Ladele, "My Angel"

June 1, 2021
Mummy,
I always wonder when everybody says Mama Ladele. Like it was just me alone. But you shared your love equally over all your children, you went as far as sharing it with every boy we brought home. Whether good or bad, ruffian or well dressed, so long as they came in with your children, you treated them like they were yours.

You would feed everyone like you had the gift of turning 5 loaves and 2 fishes to a miracle.
You had Gold, but I can vividly remember how you sold all for the caring of your kids, You always told me that we were the treasures you know that God gave you.

We started this fight 17 years ago, God gave us victory. You were there to give out all your boys in marriage and added beautiful daughters, you not only saw, you bathed, nutured and cared for your grandchildren like you had always done for so many others.

Oba and Jola asked "Daddy when are we going to see Grandma Lagos?" I eventually had to tell them "Grandma has gone to be with Jesus". Jola asked "When is she coming back? Tell her to buy something when she is coming."

Words cannot express what you mean to but I will be happy in the fact that you transformed lives and you love God, even in death I know you still do.
So many people have said to me "Mummy is our mummy, not only yours". It only reminds me that life is a journey of Good deeds. You have laid down a legacy, I pray to be able to carry it on.

Rest on Mama Ladele, Abiamo rere.............
