ForeverMissed

Art returned to his heavenly home on April 30, 2016 after a valiant battle with illness.  His devotion to his family and firm belief in God supported him through his struggle, and ultimately gave him peace.

Art was the 2nd born son to the late Joseph and Harriet Nobile on March 8, 1940, in Jamaica, Queens, New York.  At the age of 17, he volunteered for the United States Army where he enjoyed working in the kitchen.  In 1960, e returned to New York with hopes of marrying his childhood sweetheart, Ida Jean Squiciarino.  In 1961, they were married.

Art and Ida moved to Commack, Long Island; and in 1970, they were blessed with their only child, Dawn Marie.  Art owned a small trucking business delivering Ready Mix Concrete.  He was a hard worker, devoted husband, and devoted father.  He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and boating.  He will be remembered for his quick wit and contagious sense of humor.  He loved to make people laugh.

In 1991, he moved to Port Charlotte where he became a real estate agent working for ERA Advantage and Century 21 Suncoast.  He was a member of the Port Charlotte and DC Elks.

He is survived by wife, Ida; daughter, Dawn; grandchildren: Jason Logan and Alexa Marie; three siblings: David (Theresa) Nobile, Barbara Bandille, and Raymond (Joanne) Nobile; plus, many nieces and nephews, and grand nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by both parents and his beloved brother-in-law and friend, Frank Bandille.

Funeral mass will be held at Saint Maximilian Kolbe Catholic Church Thursday, May 12th, 11 am and a graveside "cremains" burial at the Sarasota National Cemetery at 2 pm with military honors.
