His Life

Mr. Arthur "Q.D." Boleware was born to the late Jack & Roberta Boleware
on March 25,1922 in Tallapoosa County.

He was united in Holy Matrimony to the late Mary Ruth Boleware for 56
years.

He joined the Mount Calvary Missionary Baptist Church at an early
age. He then joined Passion Church later in life, where he was a faithful
member.

He was first drafted into the United States Army in 1942 at the age of 20
during World War II. He completed the basic training at Fort Huachuca,
Arizona. While serving overseas he went to Africa, Italy and Paris, France.
He served as a guard over German Prisoners of War. He was in France
when the war ended and when the bomb was dropped in Japan.

Mr. Boleware was 2nd Baseman on the very first organized Negro League
Baseball Team, called the Black Crackers. He was known as the Human
Vacuum Cleaner.

Mr. Boleware answered the will of God and departed this life on Thursday,
June 30,2016 at Russell Medical Center leaving behind a large and loving
family.

He leaves behind to cherish his precious memories: Three daughters
Miss. Wanda Faye Boleware of Alexander City, AL, Ms. Jimmie Sue
Holley of Alexander City, AL, and Ms. Edith Adamson, of Birmingham,
AL. Three sons Mr. Harry James, Mr. Terry Boleware, and Mr. Everette
Boleware (Gloria) all of Alexander City, AL. Two sisters Mrs. Nora
Boleware of Alexander City, AL and Mrs. Amanda Sue Leonard (Lee) of
Milwaukee, Wisconsin. One brother Mr. John Boleware (Silke) Germany.
Three sister in laws Ms. Jeanette Boddie, Ms. Aleane Battle, Mrs. Ruth
Tuck all of Alexander City, AL. Twenty Grandchildren, Seventeen Great
Grandchildren, a special nurse and friend of the family Ms. Charlene
Benton, and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
