Brother Bill Memories of Big Brother Tom
April 22, 2021
Who was Arthur T Ungerbuhler, Tom was one of my older brothers. Tom taught me how to drive my first automobile using a stick shift. Tom taught me the art of shooting pool. He taught me so well at shooting pool, that I became the teacher. I will remember those days growing up living near Elder high school, Tom being his siblings big brother and protector. Most recently I had the pleasure to take Tom on a few business road trips with me across the US. Tom went with me to Chesapeake Bay in Virginia, Daytona Beach Florida. Tom hadn’t been to Daytona beach in over 50 years. He was amazed at all the big buildings that have popped up everywhere. Tom enjoyed the beach experience so much he took his shoes off rolled up his pants stood in water just looking around. I have a few photos in the gallery . It was a joy to watch, I will miss him – I’ll cherish these memories forever. Tom loved going through the mountains we went through Hawks nest West Virginia. When we were kids going to my aunt’s house in Virginia with mom and dad, we went back to the Overlooks and took a bunch of pictures of the majestic views. We visited some of the Gettysburg’s battlefields and national monuments when we had time. And then covid 19 hit and I couldn’t take him anywhere because of the health risk and concerns. I will miss him I love you my brother, I will see you again someday. Rest in Peace.
