Arthur was born in Salir do Porto, Portugal. His love for the ocean and outdoors started when he was young. He was an excellent swimmer and loved climbing the sand dunes as a kid. He migrated to the USA at the age of 8 with his family in 1964. Arthur lived his youth in Inslee Place, Elizabeth Port. He loved playing street soccer with the neighborhood kids. His schooling was at St. Peter and Paul where he was an alter boy for the church.

He started his career at a young age at General Motors in the Linden assembly plant. He spent his whole career there as a forklift truck operator up until the factory closed. During this time he moved to Jackson NJ and started his family with his wife Carmela. They had 3 children Teresa, Tina, and Arthur Jr. Arthur worked long hours to provide for his family.

In his down time during the summer he loved fishing the jetties in point pleasant and taking canyon trips with friends. He had a love for everything outdoors. His love for hunting and fishing were passions he shared with his kids, especially his son Arty, that would continue until his last day. When his wife Carmela passed he wanted to go and enjoy the land in Virginia where he lived for 10 years. He thoroughly enjoyed hunting, fishing, and hiking the blue ridge mountains. When his kids started having grandkids, he moved back to NJ to enjoy them. He shared his love for the outdoors with them on his boat “My Way”. He loved cruising up and down the Barnegat Bay with them.

He met his wife Patricia while living in Whiting NJ. Patricia shared in Arthur’s love for the ocean which is why they were married on the pier in Ocean Gate two years ago. Patricia and Arthur enjoyed many outdoors adventures and spending time with his grandkids. Arthur loved his time with his grandkids Joey, Sophie, and Eddie. He would bring them to the playground, parks, beaches, and had fun sleepovers. He loved cheering them on at their sporting events. Arthur spent his last day with his wife in the Virginia mountains enjoying the great outdoors.

Arthur is predeceased by his parents Joaquim Gomes Gregorio and Laurinda Morgado Gregorio as well as his wife Carmela Gregorio. He is survived by his siblings Joaquim Gregorio, Tony Gregorio, and Laurinda Alves; his wife Patricia Donahue; his children Teresa Migliore, Joseph Migliore, Tina Dzienkiewicz, Ed Dzienkiewicz, Arthur Gregorio Jr, and Nadia Gregorio; his grandkids Joey Migliore, Sophie Migliore, and Eddie Dzienkiewicz IV.
