My Mom was an amazing woman who grew up on a farm in Southington Connecticut.
She was an advised reader, loved nature, and loved her vegetable and flower gardens.
Mom went to Eli tech in New Britain Connecticut where she learned to be an expert seamstress and run her own business.
Mom was a Girl Scout Leader, learned how to water ski in her fifties, won metals in roller skating dance competitions, all while raising me and my brother Cliff.
In edition to all of this she was active in her church and loved to sing in the choir.
And if that’s not enough, Mom taught sewing to the adults in night school, and sold accordions door to door for a music company.
Later she went on to become queen of sales and win 2 cars with the Mary Kay cosmetics company.
So from farm girl to glamour girl appearing on stage with Mary Kay Ash in Dallas Texas,
Mom did it all and more.
She taught all of us in the family to be strong, to have courage, and to work hard to achieve our goals and make out dreams a reality.
Mom is preceded in death by her husband Robert Raymond Ives, and her son Clifford Ives.
She leaves her daughter Elaine Ives, her grandchildren Sarah Cardona, Brandon Foertter, Juliet Ives, Jenessa Ives, and Jocelyn Ives Papparozo.
In addition she leaves her great grandchildren Jaydon Casillas, Ashton Cardona, Avery Cardona, Avalon Cardona, Abriel Cardona, Addali Cardona, Archer Cardona and Lilah Foertter and her beloved dog Charlie.
