Mrs. Audrey Crocker Posey of Columbus passed away Wednesday at her home. She was 86 years of age and resided at 1249 Hanover Avenue.
The Homegoing Celebration for Mrs. Posey will be Thursday, December 10, 2015 at 12 noon at the First African Baptist Church with interment in Green Acres Cemetery. Pastor Roderick Green will officiate.
Visitation is Tuesday beginning at 2:00 p.m. with the Omega Ceremony at 6:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
The cortege will depart from the residence at 11:30 the day of the service.

Thank you Posey for introducing me to the Columbus community and Hardaway High School. If we had not met at Georgia College, I don't know where I would be today and would not have made the successful journey to retirement. You were with me as a Delta Sister, a co-worker, a missionary sister, a fellow Alabama State University Hornet, a church member, a home girl, and most of all a great friend. Your friendship was very special and I will always cherish the times that we spent at church and Hardaway.
Tonight, it is finally hitting me that you have been called to be with the Lord. You are in the arms of our Savior and He is taking good care of you. We will miss you but know that someday we will meet again. I will not say good by but until next time to my friend.
