Memories from Nina McCaslin-Horn
Sharon and I go way back to Jr. High days and some of my fondest memories were going to her house on Ellis Avenue, where Sloan’s Mom would always have a smile for us, food if we were hungry, and make us feel right at home. She allowed us to talk openly and candidly about boy’s and things that we might not have talked about in our own homes. I just wish I could have listened more to her wisdom and humor…….some of us could use her wisdom now!
But I can remember those thoughts and see her almost standing in the kitchen talking to us with interest and giving us undivided attention when we talked Like it was worth listening to. She did seem to really understand us.
What I choose to remember about her, was her long beautiful dark hair, amazingly young skin and always dressed well!!! We all wanted to look just Her! But more than this, she was a good Mother to one of my dearest friends, Sharon and she was always there for her, so I loved her.
Please give my heartfelt condolences to all the family and know that we will be in prayers for you while you miss her here on earth, but know that only God knew her heart. Only God will be the one holding his hand out and welcoming her into Heaven’s Eternity, where hopefully we will all be there one day together!
Please give Sharon a big hug from me and tell her that I love her, too!
Much love, Nina
