Sir Emenike Onwura was a family friend and a family Dr. The news of his death came to me as a very rude shock. He saved my life in 2013 when l had issues with my pregnancy. He saved my life and that of my baby. I can't forget that experience in a hurry. He was always ready to listen to people and give his advice. I have never seen him angry or get tired of answering questions. I even consulted him right there in the church two weeks before his death. Dr, you were a good man. Very friendly. You will forever live in our minds and hearts. Adieu ezigbo mmadu.

Oh whoa! What a world? What can I say about someone I consider as a brother, a friend, a leader and a family friend. I will forever miss your soft soothing words, words of encouragement even when you feel that you are dying. His immediate attention when you are sick be it in his house, at the Medical Centre or in his own hospital. His leadership style at the Council of Knights of St Paul. Towards his departure, he came to my house in relation to his wife. A week to his death, he showed himself in a wedding in pure white " agbada" . Little did I know that it was the last I will see him. Daddy, special " Nwa Chineke " I miss you but I am comforted that you are resting in the Bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ.

Rest on a peace maker! Rest on my Doctor! Rest on true servant of God. All your activities in planting rural Ministries and churches will for ever speak for you. I look forward at the sound of trumpet, to see you and all my loved ones that had departed.

This is overwhelming. I do not seem to have believed this is true. This submission to Your Will O Lord is really hard. Daddy Em, you encouraged me to run. I started running and every day you remind me to run further towards a target. You fondly called me "your Prof". I have looked around and cannot see you anymore, however, I still hear your voice and by God you will not be disappointed. Working with you taught me varying life lessons. I hold those lessons in my heart. Thank you for being you. You will be greatly missed. Adieu Daddy Em. Rest on.

I find it inevitable as your boy to be part of the testimony about the life and times of our Director, Sir Dr A.E. Onwurah. I feel highly pained about his demise but our consolation comes from the assurance that the Lord has taken His servant home!

My soft speaking humble Doctor' (as you are fondly called), you were selfless in your services to the Christian Community and the University of Nigeria, Nsukka. You were indeed a dependable personality, an epitome of honesty, high integrity and humility.

Your wisdom each time you sat to advise us was always superb and inspiring. We shall miss your friendly ambiance and beautiful smiles that were full of passion and love for us in your office.

"You have left your footprints in the sands of time"

We are no longer weeping instead we are thankful to God because we are now convinced that You finished your race well and kept the faith.

Sir, keep resting in the bosom of your saviour, Lord Jesus Christ.

A kind hearted gentleman goes home

June 8, 2021
The bible made us to understand that death is an appointment that everyone must keep, little did I know that you will attend to it soon. One cannot query God , I would have asked why he called you so soon. Based on human judgement, I would have said you were not ripe for the appointment because a host of people will miss your services. You worked tirelessly, always handy to attend to any emergency no matter the time. Working closely with you taught me a lot of virtues. My prayer is that you find rest from your labour in the Lord's bosom . Rest on dear. We will surely miss you.
Adieu nwoke obi oma.
