Nearly every single one of my happy childhood memories revolves around Aurelia Tante and the farm.   Whether it was the chicks in her kitchen keeping warm, the fresh milk she would give me, playing in the barn loft, going with her to call the cows, catching frogs down near the river, the yummy dinners she would cook - she and my Oma filled my youth with the joy and adventures every child should have.  I cannot believe they are now both gone.....the world is much less for losing them.  You are right, Uncle Manfred - she touched so many people and had a wide-ranging positive influence.  It saddens me that she never saw that.  Her memory will always touch my heart, and the joy she gave a little girl will never be forgotten.

Dear Aunt Aurelia,

We have lost a loving, caring mother, grandmother, sister and aunt who will always be in our hearts with loving memories.  Through all your trials and tribulations your outlook on life was well described in one of your favorite songs: "Froelich, froelich, immer froelich, alle tage sonnenshine, froelich last uns immer sein."
