His Life

Austin's Life

July 5, 2011

Austin was always a happy boy. Even when he was in the hospital he had a smile on his face. He made the best out of everything.

When Austin was 6 he fell on a stump in our neighbor's backyard and got stiches a couple of hours later. The whole time he had a cast on he lay in a chair in the yard listening to his sister's Ipod.

It all started one day when we flew kites in the front yard. When my husband came home from work, we went to the Goodwill. He was sitting in a cart and halfway through the trip he started getting red spots all over his body. On August 16th, 2009 he went to the hospital.

He had a disease called Hemophagocytic Lymphistiocyosis (HLH), it was worse than cancer. He had IVs in his wrist and had to take medicine almost all day. He was in the hospital for 5 months. Sometime in November Austin had surgery in his head to remove dead tissue. He was always so strong.

The week he died was a rough week. He had a birthday party on the Saturday and he died on Monday. He also died on his Gramps birthday (his Gramps died May 16th, 2008), and his Aunt had her baby on the next day, and my other son had his birthday on that Thursday.

When he was in his cascett he was wearing a police uniform. His Build-A-Bear( that was dressed as a Dallas Cowboy player, named Jackie), his remembrance bear, a Vikings Football hat, and a few other things.

His remembrance bear was a bear that the funeral home gave him, his momma, his daddy, his 3 sisters, and his brother.

We loved Austin very much, he will remain in our hearts forever, and we will see in heaven one day. WE LOVE U BUBBA!!!!!!! (=
