BROTHER, AS TODAY MARKS THE FIRST YEAR OF YOUR TRAJIC TRANSITION, ALWAYS BE ASSURED THAT YOU ARE NOT FORGOTTEN AND THAT YOUR BLOOD SHALL FOREVER SPEAK TO GOD AGAINST YOUR KILLERS! SLEEP ON DEAR, FOR SURELY THERE IS ANOTHER FELLOWSHIP IN HEAVEN!
TRIBUTE IN HONOUR OF A KNOWN SOLDIER, AUSTINE IYKE EGBO
“May no soldier go unloved, may no soldier walk alone, may no soldier be forgotten, may no soldier be left behind when they return home”--------soldiersangel.org.
Austine, as you return home: be assured that you are still loved, you can never walk alone, neither shall you be forgotten nor left behind on the day of reckoning. This is because you were a fine soldier mostly misunderstood. You were a hero roundly uncelebrated. You were an altruist not in any way appreciated.
Those who hated your guts and felt threatened by your vision conspired to dim your light. They did not over-power you. But just that you were perhaps homesick for a place where your heart is full and your soul understood. A place you would be appreciated and celebrated. Therefore, they did not kill you. They rather wasted a generation that would forever haunt them. Oh yes, they murdered sleep!

The mystery of your departure opened opportunities for soul-searching. I have learnt that “in the blink of an eye everything can change. So forgive often and love with all your heart. You may never know when you may never have that chance again”. Your transition also taught me that “the only things you can take with you when you depart this world are the things you’ve packed inside your heart”. Above all, your death has made me realize that “no one knows your heart, your circumstance, your past, your relationship, your struggle, your pain, your hopes, your dreams, your purpose, your flaws, your reasons and your future like God”.
So Nwoke Ike (according to your dedicated comrade-in-arms, Don Jude), as you cross over, may I remind your assailants, and of course the envious critics as well as the fair-weather friends, that God is not yet finished with your matter. Time only makes the difference!
It is not their opinions and wishes that count, though today victory seems theirs. They are still sojourners in this horrible place whereas you are already a pilgrim done with earthly mission. Judgement is for God and Him alone!
De lion, continue to sleep while waiting for the recompense of the wicked ones!
Mon-Charles!
