Arthur (Ray) Johnson was born on June 6, 1940 to the late Mr. Marshall and Ms. Willie Louise Johnson in Tallapoosa County.

 

Ray made his home in Jackson's Gap, Alabama with his late companion, Mary Lee Crayton.

 

Arthur Ray was preceded in death by one brother, Willie Johnson.

 

He leaves to cherish his memories, his children Joshua

(Shanda) Johnson of Alexander City, AL; Susie (Willie) Alvies

of Dadeville, AL; Alfredra Crayton, Delisa Crayton, Rachael

(Derrick) Chadwick; Norman Crayton, and Michael Crayton, all

of Jackson's Gap, AL; Charles (Pamela) Crayton of Dadeville,

AL. Three brothers: William (Helene) Johnson and Robert Calvin

Johnson, both of Dadeville, AL; Curtis (Clemmie) Johnson

of Alexander City, AL. Four sisters: Dorothy Ann Johnson,

Myrtis (Milford) Canady, Mary (Calvin) Stone, all of Dadeville,

AL; Gloria Jean Johnson of Bridgeport, CT. Five brothers-inlaw:

Robert Crayton, Tommy (Robbie) Young, Jr,, James E.

Crayton, Pete (Debra) Crayton, all of Jackson's Gap, AL; Rim

(Carolyn) Crayton, Jr., of Alexander City, AL. Two sisters-in law:

Shirley (Jeff) Crayton of Jackson's Gap, AL and Lucille

(Willie) Johnson of Dadeville, AL. Four special friends: Jeffery

Heard, Shelly Burns, James Morgan, Jr., and Jimmy

Greathouse. A special Goddaughter, Quasia Crayton of Jackson's

Gap, AL, A special granddaughter, Jessica Alvies of

Dadeville, AL. Twentythree (23) grandchildren, a host of great

-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends,
