I want to offer my deepest condolences to the family. There are no words to describe the pain of such a loss, no words to remove the pain of this loss. But there are words that offer hope and that is the promise Jehovah has made that by means of his son Jesus Christ, these horrible tragedies will be reversed (John 5:28-29). I'm so sorry for this loss and can't wait to see you again Avren when all is new (Revelation 21:3-5).

No words can describe a long friendship, no words can describe how much a person will be missed. However one thing that can be described is Avren's love for Jehovah and how much he loved to teach others, to build, to have a share in the most important work that he was convinced that is our only hope: Paradise. He loved to sing and definitely loved his family. So many great memories of him joking and laughing with his mother Charlotte and grandmother Annelle and with his brothers and sister and all his friends. My greatest memories were going to assemblies and working constructing Kingdom Halls with Avren. So now we have comfort in knowing that he is resting until we see him again soon. We will get to build with him, laugh and talk, sing and dance, yes live forever Psalms 37:10, 11, 28 ,29 without any one or anything causing harm and living peacefully also when no one will be sick Isaiah 33:24. Jehovah is such a loving God to not forget all the good we have done as mentioned in Hebrews 6:10 and Jehovah and all of us who really knew Avren and that he impacted our lives in any way will never forget him. A personal thank you to all who really cared for him and had a beautiful part in caring for him in many ways. I definitely know it was always appreciated. Charlotte and Annelle and children, spouses and grandchildren we love you very much. We are praying for you all.

One of Avren's favorite scriptures

Acts 24:15 "And I have hope toward God..that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous."

Avren Tychicus Travis, a beloved son, brother, grandson and uncle passed away the 12th day of May 2021; at the age of 36.

Avren Tychicus Travis was born the 15th day of December 1984 to Alvin Tyrone Sr. and Charlotte Ann Travis. His father remarried when Avren was 8 years old and he became a part of a blended family, four boys and three girls, one cat, one dog. Avren was educated in the Richmond and Chesterfield Public School System. In time Avren and his brothers formed a dancing and vocal group named TKO. Avren enjoyed performing on stage with his dad and brothers. Avren also enjoyed singing, writing poems and songs, and playing jokes on people.

Avren dedicated his life to Jehovah at a young age.
Avren’s real love was helping people especially the older friends in the congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. He was always giving of himself and bringing a smile to their faces. He enjoyed being on the theocratic school and helping others come to know his God Jehovah by participating in the field ministry. Avren was a giver, always giving to others when they needed help and if he didn’t have it he would try to find a way to help.

Life became difficult for Avren in his later years, he struggled with a mental disability that came upon him. Even though he suffered from this disability he always found a way to make the best of his life and looked out for others. Avren had a great sense of humor, he would tell wild stories that would keep you laughing. No doubt Avren will be truly missed by his family and friends.

Avren leaves to mourn, his father Tyrone (Toka) Travis Sr., mother Charlotte Travis, Six brothers and sisters: Tyrone (Chandra) Travis Jr., Aron (Monica) Travis, Catya (Terry) Sipp, Te’Onna (Tyron) Bryant, Mendize Knight, Jamie (Tony) Jones, grandmothers, Phyllis Travis and Annelle Viar, a host of family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Alvin R Travis and James W. Viar.
