Mummy was born into the family of Frank Ogunjobi Thomas and Christianah Thomas. She was the fourth and last child of her mother. She had three elder sisters:

Mrs Modupe Catherine Uyanwune-Mordi (Late)

Mrs Laura Nwadinafo Okiya

Ms Lydia Patience (nee) Thomas

She grew up in Onitsha. She attended Onitsha Girls School and Bethel School both in Onisha, Anambra State.

She worked briefly with Leventis Onitsha before her wedding which took place in Lagos Nigeria after which she moved to Ibadan with her late husband.

She later moved to Lagos where she started her catering business.

She has three children and an adopted daughter:

Funmilayo Oduwusi (daughter)

Stanley Thomas (son)

Emmanuella Ogunlusi (daughter)

Blessing Ibete Thomas (adopted daughter)

Mummy was a God fearing, loving, peaceful, caring and wonderful mother to her children both biological and others. She always loved having people around her and a lot of people saw her and took her as their mother.

She is survived by her children, in-laws, grand-children, and many relatives
