My sister Barbara, was a wonderful mother, wife and sister. She was outgoing and always put others ahead of her own needs, she gave tirelessly to the need of others , she was always willing to try new and different things. Her death left a big void in the lives of all that knew her.Her family has many wonderful memories to remember and cherish. Rest in peace, my beautiful sister, safe in the arms of the Lord.

Always willing to help others
When herself should be at rest
She was the kindest of all Mothers
Now amongst the Heavenly Blest.
So patient, so kind, see you on the other side

Mom, I can't believe you're gone. You're in a better place and that gives me comfort, but I miss you every day. I want you to know that I know you gave and sacrificed much of yourself to keep our family together and I love you for that. For me, that is your legacy, you cared and gave to others. Even in the end when you struggled to breath you worried about me on two wheels. No words :(

There are a lot of families but then there are those families that let you into their lives and make you feel like one of them. The Spanglers were that family for me. Thank you for taking me to church, the grandparents,to play tennis and letting me have a best friend(Mel)and a second mom! You were a wonderful role model Mrs. Spangler and you left this world a better place.

I will forever love you, my Dear Mother. You have been a blessing always in my life and have touched so many with your kind and giving spirit. You were my biggest supporter, confidant, role model, and friend taken from me far too soon. I am thrilled for you that you are freed from your suffering and rejoicing now with our Savior. You will be forever missed...my Mommy, My Heart.

I can still see you smiling, Mom. That sweet little smile when we amused you. I am the man I am today because of the seed you planted. I owe you everything, but am so glad to be able to call you Mom. You will live on in me and through Faith. I will love you and miss you every day of my life. I can't wait to see you in Heaven!

The best of intentions

June 20, 2013
One of my earliest memories is being scared, alone and crying during a thunderstorm and wanting to be comforted and when I opened my eyes she was there telling me it was ok. When I was in love for the first time and the girl broke my heart, she comforted me when I was crying so hard I couldn't speak. When I was in pain she hurt with me and throughout my life she always only wanted to help. That's all she ever wanted was to help. She had such a kind soul and she set the example for me of always striving to never impact others in a negative way.

Snow Days

June 19, 2013

My Mom always thought of others before herself. In the early years, she was always cooking, cleaning or taking care of her children. On snowy winter days, she would put each of her six children in a snow suit, warm boots and gloves and send them out into the snow to play one by one. By the time she had finished dressing the last kid, the first one would be cold and wanting to come back in, so she began her undressing assembly line with a smile on her face. Never did I ever feel an ounce of anger or resentment at not having any time to herself. She loved her role as mother and we couldn't have asked for a better one. She was the epitome of what a good mother should be and we were blessed to have her as ours.
