Barbara Ann Bowling, 47, a longtime resident of Granville County passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 at Duke University Medical Center in Durham.
A native of Granville County, the daughter of Barry and Rebecca Dement Kidd. She was of the Baptist faith and was very family oriented.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Saturday, February 14, 2014 in the Eakes Funeral Chapel in Creedmoor. Burial will be in Carolina Memorial Gardens in Creedmoor.
Surviving are her parents, Barry and Rebecca Dement Kidd of Stem, her father, Steadman Bowling, a sister, Cheyney O’Brien, her brother, Chris Kidd, two uncles, Glenn and David Dement , two nieces and one nephew.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2015 from 1:00-2:00 PM prior to the funeral service at the Eakes Funeral Home in Creedmoor and at other times at the home.

I am so sorry for your loss, Barbara was such a kind and loving person always smiling I looked forward to her coming to tan, we always talked afterwards and she talked so much about her dog . I know she loved him so much . she is in such a better place .

Barbara was such a sweet caring person. We went to school together, we were buddies thru the yrs . when we were abt 12 yrs old we use to talk on the phone for hours while her mom was working. I will never forget her. Her heart was made of gold. Sweet dreams Barbara. Thanks for the memories.

I am so sorry for your loss. Barbara and I went to school together, and I saw her for the last time at our 25-yr high school reunion. She looked great. When she smiled, I distinctly remember how much her eyes sparkled and were so full of life. She seemed to enjoy the get-together. Thinking of you and praying for you all during this difficult time.
