When I was about 8 or 9yrs old, I wanted my ears pierced so bad that I asked for all earrings for Christmas. I just knew I would get them pierced one day and wanted to have plenty of earrings to choose from lol. I had clip on earrings sure, but I wanted the real deal lol. So my momma decided to pierce them for me. She squeezed my ear lobes between two ice cubes until I couldn't feel anything. By the way, the ice hurt! She prepped (sterilized) the needle and pocked it thru. I remember my brothers watching and laughing, I think they wanted her to do theirs as well lol. When it was all over I was so excited that I wanted to go show everyone. Till this day I still think about that day every day, I wear earrings every day and I love them.
