States, Barbara Anne (nee Bennett)

Beloved mother of Geneva Rose, loving wife and soulmate of Brian Lee, left the world on Nov. 8, 2018 to sit at the right hand of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ after a courageous battle with cancer.

Her gift to charm even the hardest hearts while remaining strong and courageous were loved and respected by all who knew her.

She is also survived by her loving parents, Gary and Diana, brothers Robert and David, as well as their families, many aunts, uncles, nephews, cousins and friends.

We have lost a truly wonderful woman who will be sorely missed and lovingly remembered always.

God Bless you, Barby.

Services will be private at the convenience of the family.

Barb. Sponge-Barb. It's Mark or, as you liked to call me, Patrick; because you loved Sponge Bob. Lindsey and I love you so much and we will miss you so much. You were so full of life, kindness, understanding, compassion and you were unique. A real one-of-a-kind. You changed my life for good forever and you touched my heart. You befriended me when I needed it 17 or 18 years ago at PNC bank! We both hated working there. As a matter of fact, we met when I overheard you on the phone with your recruiter when they were telling you that they jad finally found another company to place you at. I remember begging you, a mere stranger at that point, to please take me with you. You sure did take me with you. It took a little convincing on my part, but after you got me into FiServ LeMans in King of Prussia we necame fast friends. When you left there years later and were working at S&S you kindly got me in there, as well. I'm not sure if you knew it, at the time or at all, but you literally saved my career because at S&S they were re-hosting their mainframe COBOL systems to a Microsoft Server .NET environment and they sent us to Microsoft training to learn how to become a .NET developer. I was just a young, dumb kid at the time and I was not paying attention to market trends or ways to stay employed in my/our chosen career. If it had not been for you geting me into S&S I could not have stayed a software developer. Also, while at S&S I was able to meet Lindsey who is now my amazing, loving wife of 9 years. You set all of that in motion by lining up the stars just right. I/we can never repay the kindness you showed us or repay the favors you did for me/us. It is with an extremely heavy heart that we even have to say our goodbyes to you. We want you, Brian & Geneva to know that you will be sorely missed for as long as we shall live. May you forever rest in peace. We know that you will be looking down on us.

Very sad news. Barb was always very giving and full of life. Her personality lit up the room and she always made me laugh. She'll be sorely missed. My thoughts and prayers go out to Brian and Geneva and the whole family at this very difficult time. Thinking of you all.

I am so very sad to hear of Barb's passing. She was very colorful, bubbly and generous and loved colors and nature. When we became friends in 2001 she took me under her wing inviting me to her house and her family's house for dinners. I still have a kitten, Beanie, she gave me in 2002. When she visited me, she always had a gift or plant cutting. My deepest sympathies to Brian, Geneva and family - I cannot even begin to feel what you're all feeling. When I look at Beanie, I will think of Barb. Gone way too soon - shine brightly as you always did, Barb.
