It is hard to believe it has been almost a year since my dear sister, Barbara, left us for her heavenly reward. I don't know anyone sweeter, kinder, and more loving and generous than she was. We missed her terribly this Christmas, but rejoice with her in her participation in the heavenly celebration of the Christ Child, with all the members of our family who are in Heaven with her. Amen.

Barb was one of those special people in your life that reminds you to be the best you can be. She kept Jesus Christ as her center and it was evident. I feel blessed to have known her and will miss her.

Barb was an amazing woman! I will always remember her funny comments in water aerobics, which were often. She had this joy of life, always giving, caring for others. I will miss her chiming in when she'd hear a song she liked in class. What an amazing voice! She will be dearly missed by all.

I was very blessed in meeting Barbara at Aeobics.
She was such a happy soul, who loved her family dearly.
She will be sorely missed from our class, especially that lovely smile and laugh and occassional song.
Will remember you always.  Averil Marks

Bobbie was and always will be the best grandmother any person could ever wish for. She taught me so much in the short 18 years I had to know her and I will forever cherish every memory with her. She was the best woman I have ever known and I hope one day to be half the person she was. I am so blessed and grateful that she was my grandma and my life will never be the same without her.

Barbara was a very beautiful, kind, generous and special person. Her laugh, smile, and zest for life was very contagious and she always made you feel warm and welcome whenever you were with her. She sang like an angel. She will be "forever missed" here on earth by all those who knew and loved her. Remembering Barbara...always, Cindy Marshall (from water aerobics class).

Barb's thoughtfulness and amazing spirit enriched my life and inspired me to become a better person. We had many fun adventures together which I will always treasure. She adored her family and was proud of every family member. Barb shared thought-provoking insights with me. My favorite: "I've never seen a hearse pulling a U-Haul." In other words, be generous. You can't take it with you.

"Barb" - a poem by Noel and Jim Leary

Shared by barbara's family on February 3, 2011

“Barb”

All her gifts

Would fill a book

They fill our minds

As we take a look

Didacus times

And caroling too

July 4th parades

She would welcome you

Getting together

To sing churchy songs

And banjo prowess

Before too long

How we’d dress for church

We’d arrive and then

We’d be dressed alike

Again and again

An amazing shopper

A bargain she’d find

While the best of shoppers

Were left behind

We were together

From Scripps Ranch start

And she shared our life

As well as our heart

If you shared private thoughts

You knew it stopped there

She was not one to gossip

Instead – said a prayer

Not judging others

Or telling tales

Her gift of forgiveness

Never failed

A wonderful wife

An awesome mom

A faithful sister

A fun grand mom

A giving person in every way

Reaching out to others

Every day!

A woman of faith

And Hope

And

Love

And now a special angel

Up above
