Her Life

Childhood

November 7, 2013
Barbara was born in New Penshaw at home in Monument Terrace. She was the youngest child of 3. She has 2 brothers Charles Franklin and Lynn Victor. Her parents were Edna and Robert. When Barbara was a young girl she loved to dance espically tap dancing what she always enjoyed and received loads of medals and trophys. As Barbara got older and turned into a beautiful young lady at the age of 14 she met a lovely young man named Gordon Hardwick who she loved dearly with all her heart. They got married when Barbara was 19 and Gordon was 20 and settled down to have a family of there own. They had 4 lovely children Gary, Gillian, Neil and Dean. They all lived in New Penshaw where Barbara was born and bred. Barbara worked all her life to help support her family. She always used to say that Gillian was more like a little sister to her than a daughter they were that close and even looked like her. Barbara was loved by a lot of family and friends as they said she was a lovely bubbly friend and enjoyed life to full. Sadly in March she left us all to go into the safe arms of jesus at the age of 44. It was a shock to the full community. To this day she will sadly missed and loved off her husband, children, grandchildren and friends.
