I remember us spending all morning long making this igloo with this block maker.  We played the entire day outside.  Such a great memory. This is the year that he slid down the hill under the snow and popped up at the bottom smiling and laughing.  He lost his footing and slid not meaning too.  

 I always thought he looked so cute in these overalls. I got these for him in Mountain City Tenn.

Mom was determined Barry would have a cute little sailor suit.  She searched everywhere but couldn't find what she was looking for so she made him this one.  He's shown here with Grandpa.

I was SO EXCITED about getting a baby brother or sister after 9 1/2 year as an only child!!! I remember jumping up & down on the couch when I heard the news.  But then when he finally arived I remember him crying through the night the whole first week home and getting to help with diaper changes.  I initially began to see this wasn't the playmate I'd pictured! But his sleeping habits soon improved and it became fun being "sissy" taking care of my baby brother.  This was our first Christmas picture together. 

Barry was about 6 months old here when daddy is introducing him to the family dog, Peggy Sue.  Thus, began Barry's love affair with his string of constant companions.  Peggy Sue, Charlie, Bandit, Dave, and finally Dexter.  Apologies if I missed someone.  (Yes, that's right, someone......we have people dogs...you see to us dogs rank as people...and sometimes even higher (ha ha))

I'm not sure what started Barry's desire to join the military.  Perhaps it was the pictures of daddy in uniform or maybe it was visits such as the one photographed here.  However, when he was about 18 he really wanted to join up and in fact even tried. However, his deadly allergy to eggs kept him from enlisting.

Barry at Massennutten Ski Resort for several days of skiing.  Easy to find in his bright jacket.  But only a dot when he started at the top.  I think this was the trip that Bud was old enough to "ski for free" too!

I think Lauren was about a week old in this picture.  We all loaded up in the car early in the morning and headed to Greenville to welcome her to the family.  Barry is determined to get his new niece to grip his finger!

Barry LOVED this car!  However, he'd have a fit if someone called it a "Firebird" rather than a TransAm. We took this to the beach about 14 or 16 years ago and played great music the whole way! It was great fun for all three of us...me, Barry, and Erin.
