Tribute to my husband (Gozie)

Hmmm how can I ever forget the first day we met in church in Bremen. To me you were just bro Amah. I wouldn't have thought that a few years later you will be my husband of many years. Over the years, you were committed in your own special way in ensuring that you play your role as a husband and father.
In these years you proved that you are indeed a great warrior and fighter because,  Inspite of the many challenges thrown at you,  in various areas of life you maintained your strength and focus in all you did. You were committed to the Lord serving him in different capacity knowing that was the source of your strength. You were also very committed in your jobs and loved by your colleagues. Your love and passion for others which include family, relatives, friends and your hometown made you go the extra miles in doing the things you did. To you everyone else comes first but you and your immediate family (the children and I). You were also very committed to your community unions both in Germany and the UK. Gozie in as much as i would have loved to have you around to enjoy the victory parade of all the battles won You choose to be one of those that will be in the cloud if the trumpet sounds today.  You indeed fought the good fight, you finished the race and you kept the faith. Nothing was able to hold you captive you won the victory.  Knowing well how much you loved eating and my cooking I am glad that the last words i told you was that i was going to Cook. Although, you didn't wait any longer to eat the food because you saw a better meal prepared for you in heaven. You beheld the glory and decided to join the heavenly being. You departed in a peaceful and relaxed mood on your bed no pain or stress.  Thank you for making your departure so easy for us. Until we meet on the other side of Zion,  your Ezigbo will be here  ensuring that your legacy is kept through the wonderful children you left behind. Your wish is for your children to Bury you here in Manchester despite the fact that you were very close to your family and community in your village. The reason you made this choice is best known to you. By the special Grace of God,  your children have fulfilled this wish of yours. I am sure you are smiling down and proud of them.
Smile and Shine on Gozie.

From your Ezigbo.

What a shock to learn you are no more!
We have lost a great brother with ...so sad. He is my friend, my secondary school mate at Isu High School (1976-1981) and we met again, 15 years later in Hamburg before you left for London and we missed contacts. So sad that we never saw again before your grand departure beyond in the hands of the almighty God.
May your soul rest in perfect peace my dear brother

Uncle, It is with deepest sorrow and sadness that I write this tribute to you. You were an uncle in a million; humble, kind, loving, caring and good at heart and soul.!!!
I still can’t believe I am writing a tribute because of your passing. Words cannot describe this difficult moment,
You touched so many lives by your selfless and countless acts of kindness, always giving and never expecting any favours in return.
Uncle, you were and will always be an inspiration to myself, the entire family and, I'm sure, anyone that knew you. You have left a void in the family that will never be filled. Your Death came as a shock to us and as you sit in the arms of the Lord, your family, friends and relatives mourn your death.
While we mourn today, we also take comfort in the fact that your mission on earth have been fulfilled. We thank the Lord for your life and bid you farewell until we meet again!!!

Farewell my friend, all this was such a surprise, too young to depart. But we should never question what God has planned.
Sometimes it's not meant for us to understand. This is hardly a goodbye, because you're in a better place.
Though l miss you, you'll always be my friend.
When you left, l know you were not alone.
Our father came and took his son home.

It is another day without you here on earth. The day you left earth to rest, is still vivid in my mind. I started that day, never expecting it to end like that. That afternoon was a big shock but deep inside I know that you are okay.

I wish you sweet sleep, my dear brother. Your actions were always kind, a generous hand and an active mind. Anxious to please and loath to offend. A loving and caring brother that will always leave laughing fits anytime we discuss. We’ll all miss you very much.

Although there’s so much that you’ve left bare uncle Basil, you held firm to your Passion till the end. You fought a good fight and your legacy lives on.

Earth's lost has become heaven's gain. The Bible says that “God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; and death shall be no more, neither shall there be anguish (sorrow and mourning) nor grief nor pain any more, for the old conditions and the former order of things have passed away“.

After night comes daybreak. So Keep cheering, till the trumpet sound when you shall rise and we shall meet to part no more.

Words really failed me the day I heard of Uncle’s Basil’s death. It was really hard for me to accept the news. I first met Uncle Basil in 2014 when I came visiting to Manchester. He and his wife, Aunty Derin were really nice to me. They made me feel at home like never before. Uncle Basil was a kind-hearted man who cared for everyone around him. I really miss him but I am comforted that finally, he is with the Lord almighty. Rest on Uncle, till we meet to part no more ❤️.

Bro Basil you fought a good fight of faith and I'm sure you're resting in the Lord's bossom. Although, you will be missed on this side of heaven; we know to be with the Lord is gain.

2 Corinthians 5:6 - 8
"Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord:

7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:)

8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord."

From dust to God's breath to dust to beauty
The story of one who rests in God's eternal mercy
The joy of one who has loved and been loved
One who knew how to smile and fight on in the face of adversity
To celebrate with others, their small and big blessings.
One who at the end of the day , we can say lived with purpose and determination.

Rest on.

You bless lives with your kind and caring heart, sold your car (Nissan Almera) and contributed half of the sales to make sure I (Jomen Ifeta) get through to China. There is nothing that is invincible for a soul as spirited as you.... yet you bowed down to death to honor God and his will, your life was a blessing, your memory a treasure, you are loved beyond words and missed beyond measure, i sincerely know in my heart that you are resting peacefully.

Basil l never met in person, yet he was someone you could read without really meeting because of his simplicity and good nature. He was a good husband to my sister and friend, Derin. Can't remember her complain about him as some wives do. All that points to is that Basil was a peaceful and loving husband and dad to the family. I pray for eternal rest for his soul. I pray for the Holy Spirit to comfort Derin and the children.

Basil was one of the best people I have ever worked with. Always smiling and never a bad word to say about anyone.
He was a God fearing man who loved his family and encouraged colleagues to follow the word of God.
He was caring and compassionate to all the people he supported.
He was loved by all clients and colleagues.
He will be sadly missed but will remain forever in our heartd

My dearest Brother in Love,
My gist partner and shopping partner.
I cannot question God, but thank Him
For making our path to cross.

God saw you getting tired
And a cure was not meant to be.
So he put his arms around you
And whispered 'Come to Me'.
With tearful eyes we watched you
As we saw you pass away.
Although we loved you deeply,
Your Golden Heart stopped beating,
Hard working hands at rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us.
He only takes the best.

Those we love remain with us
For love itself lives on,
And cherished memories never fade
Even though a loved one is gone,
Those we love can never be
More than a thought apart,
For as long as there is memory,
They'll live on in the heart.
Rest in Peace Uncle Basil,
Laura Okwesa

Beloved family and friends Please feel free to leave your comments under the tribute Section

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure.”

Hebrews 6:19

On the 18th of March, 2021, our beloved Basil Chigozie Nnabuike, AKA Amah, was called to be with the Lord.

A man of honor, he knew what gratitude for the small and the immense blessing of life truly means.

A loving husband, father, brother, uncle, son, cousin, in-law, and friend, Basil was a devout Christian, kind-hearted, and a giver.

Survived by his wife, children, sister, and other family members, he was always there to help anyone in need. His smile and dedication as a church usher brought comfort to people.

Basil was a hard-working man who found an anchor in his faith.

We find comfort in the dedication, love, hope, and vision with which he approached life.

To love and live in the hearts of those you have left here on earth is to live on dearest one.

For ever in our hearts. Till Rapture.
