Happy birthday! Happy birthday! On this special day, I wish to let you know that you are not forgotten. You are in my daily thoughts and I miss you a lot. You may not be physically here with me, but I know that you, papa, mama, Niyi and Nola are watching over me. Your birthday is always a fond reminder that you were a brother who selflessly gave without expecting anything in return. You sacrificed so much to make certain that I realized my academic goals.

On this special day I miss our phone conversations. Your voice was always a source of encouragement and comfort. I will never forget your phone calls on my birthday. I miss hearing your voice and the pleasure derived from anticipating those early morning calls.

On this special day, I miss our talks and walks whenever I visited home. Our meals together and conversations were always graced and filled with warmth and love. The evening walks down and beyond Anjo street were enjoyable and a constant reminder that I was home. I cannot forget the times we went to Victoria Club just to be with each other and enjoy our times together.

I do not remember meeting him in life, but working on the programme that celebrated his life, reading his biography and the tributes paid to him, I felt truly touched by the extraordinary life of this man who was born on the same day as my brother and died on my birthday. My sincere condolences to the family he left behind. Sis Genevieve, take heart. Those we love don,t go away!
