Barry William Pearce was born on 13th June 1950 at Christchurch he is the son of Bill & Coral Pearce & the brother of Robynne Gardiner.

Barry was full of life there was nothing he couldnt do he would help other people no matter what.

I met Barry in 1971 we married in Feburary 1972 not long after we got married he joined the permanent staff at Lower Hutt Fire Brigade until 1977 we moved to Masterton Fire Brigade to get rural experience.

2nd of July 1975 saw the birth of our 1st daughter kirstin Samantha who we adopted at 6 weeks ol

In 1983 we became parents to our 2nd Daughter Latisha .Barry started getting itchy feet he left Masteron to go to Hastings Fire Service in 1989.While we were there Barry took up darts 7 bowls i was a weekend widow while he played the sports he loved

In  early 2001 Barry came home from work he told me to start packing we were moving to Brisbane he resigned from the Fire Service & left NZ,

We stayed in Brisbane until 2007 when Barry was diagnosed with bowel cancer he decided once he finished chemo we would return to NZ to be with family

Barry was a very sick man in August 2008 we were told he needed to go to Cranford Hopice where he gradually got worse he passed away at the age of 58yrs on 5th December 2008
