I knew Mummy Buko as an active Usher in Idi-Aba Parish (Mount Zion) despite she was old in September, 1994 when Abeokuta Area 2 was created. She later became Area Leader of the Ushers in September, 1996 of Olorunsogo Area (Gloryland Area).
Mama was a Gem. Her memory cannot be erased.
Mama, sleep well in the bosom of our Lord Jesus Christ till we meet to part no more.

Continue to rest on in God's bossom Grandma. I am one of the daughters of your son ( Pastor Sola John) whom you never knew but benefited in a big way from you. I slept in your room for months when issues of life arose. The first thing that came to my mind upon hearing about your death is how you accommodated me even without knowing. Your good works are all around us and well spoken of.
You surely have good heritage one of which is my very own dear father PSJ.
YOU WILL BE FOREVER MISSED GRANDMA. WE LOVE YOU BUT JESUS LOVE YOU MORE. REST ON IN HIS BOSOM TILL WE MEET AT HIS FEET.

Although I didn't have personal contact or encounter with Mama during her lifetime, the good testimonies I have heard concerning her and the evidences of good upbringing which radiate in her children, all testify to the fact that she was a great woman and mother. May the gentle soul of Mama rest in the bosom of the Lord.

I never had a close relationship with her, but I could see her impact on her son, who is a Father to me. Every reference to her was always in honour and appreciation for the gift of her.
According to daddy, She lived a life worth emulating and walked in the fear of the Lord. I celebrate that. Thank God for the privilege to live a life that counts in his sight.

Grandma was kind, caring and loving during her lifetime. I remember days where she will want to sacrifice all she has in her shop. Grandma is a blessing to me, I grew up to see Grandma as very active in the ushering department in RCCG GLORYLAND. Grandma never missed any lets-go-a-fishing even weekly services..
She is inspiring, ehn ehn, I remember that Grandma has a very sweet tenor voice especially while singing hymnal songs. For every service that we drummers didn't do well she will come and tell us, she loves hymn songs and agbamole drum very well..
Although, its painful but your memories still linger

I knew you as a wonderful and caring Grandma since I was a toddler. You showed us love without being partial. Your words of advise to both young and old intrigues me so much, that I desire to impact lives around me like you did. You were a gem we don't want to lose, a model we like to keep forever but your transition had denied us this our secret desire. Your memory cannot be erased from our heart. She lived a great life as a mother and grandmother. She was a mother-in-law to reckon with, her passion for love cannot be overemphasized. She was a devoted Christian mother that you need not to question her faith. I remember her voice during the time of her illness - “e se, amin Jesu” and her sweet words from a devoted and loving Mother.
I pray the Lord God to please in HIS infinite mercy erase her misdeeds both intentionally and unintentionally, may the beautiful soul of Iya Buko continue to rest in the blossom of the Lord God amen. Sun re oooo!!

It's hard to say goodbye to a loved one. Even with the pain,, very soon, we still adjust after saying so as if we had not missed anything. Only faint memories continue to linger in our hearts. The lives we have touched and the impacts we have made constitute our relics and remains. These are life's sure legacies with which our lives can be measured and appreciated.
And so whether we've ever known mama or not does not count for speaking for her. We simply take a cursory look at what she left behind to determine how impactful her sojourn on earth was. Everyone's work shall continue to speak for them when they're not there. Our daddy, Pastor Shola John, is enough testimony to attest to a good legacy mama left behind, and thus a veritable yardstick to conclude that she planted and watered good seed on the sand of time. And so, the memory lingers on. And we shall continue to see you through the eye of our daddy, the Provincial Pastor in RCCG, Ogun 11. He remains your undiluted epitome and symbol of legacy. Adieu, dear ma. Bye and bye, until the resurrection morning.

Her son,Pst Sola John, is a prominent leader in the Church yet she never at any time behave unruly or throw it at any one's face. A very humble woman of God.
Mama would be fondly remembered as an encourager, understanding and caring mother.

Behind the skin of this world, there's another, and in that world the saints are rejoicing. A great soul has departed, but the memories shall never fade because she was nothing but a wonderful icon to all. She was a blessing on earth. We believed she had finally completed her journey on earth. But she has touched millions of hearts and lives on her way. May her lovely soul rest blissfully in the garden of heaven.
