Jeay Bhutto

August 9, 2012

In the early ninties I had watched a woman become Prime Minister for the second time in Pakistan. I went about my life and really never thought of it again until 2007. Then it seemed that Benazir Bhuttos name was frequent with rumors of returning to Pakistan to challenge the general elections.
So one night I typed her name in my browser and soon came across her lectures and speeches from around the world. Starting from the top of the list I began to listen to everything this woman had ever spoken, I couldn't get enough information and for the first time in my life I got fired up about something I couldn't stand; POLITICS! Benazir was a very beautiful individual and when I watched the news on December 7th 2007 about her assassination my heart fell to the floor and I wept for months. My heart aches to this day and my true wish is that not only her son continues on with the beliefs that she worked so many years for, but that her daughters step up in her shoes so that Benazir will have not died in vain. Somehow
I see Benazirs twin in her daughter Aseefa. No matter which one stands to take over in her footprints I will always stand behind them with support... A great woman with purpose died a horrible death - And I'm so sorry..         RIP  Pinkie
