*My Tribute to Mum*
My elegant mum, God’s beautiful creation, displaying his perfection! I remember being very proud of you as I was growing up, showing off your pictures to my friends. You were beautiful in appearance to me that as a little girl, I was so naive like any other girl and focused on your outward appearance. As I grew older, however, I began to see that you were even much more beautiful on the inside! Wao! mum, you were very kind and generous to anyone and everyone that God brought across your path! This you instilled in me. You taught me great values: to care and to share, to be respectful, gentle, considerate and patient with others. You taught me that forgiveness is a virtue, to always let go of all hurt and give people a second chance.
You lived the Holy Scriptures to the best of your knowledge! People would often say to me “your mother is too kind to a fault because most people she’s kind to would never return the kindness”. Even when I tell you what people say, you’d always remind me to be a true Christian. You’d always stress that we don’t help people to expect anything in return from them, but only from the Lord. Even your childhood friends testified of your love and kindness when you were growing up and they confirmed that through the years until your passing, you never changed.
You would always say to me and your son, my husband, “ the God that you are serving, continue to worship him relentlessly.” You stood by us and encouraged us even when the future looked so bleak! You visited us and ate with us even when we had nothing! You wanted to watch God do wonders in our lives! Yes Mum! You witnessed it all!
You were a great beautiful mother indeed! Would not trade you for another! Thank you for everything you taught me and your son. We pray that you rest in perfect peace until that glorious day, when you shall rise first with all the other saints and meet with Christ in the air! We love you mum and will miss you dearly. We’ll continue to make you proud in Jesus’ Glorious and Precious name Amen.
