mum had her first child stephen john on 6th april 1956 .her 2nd child susan jane on 7th december 1958 .then came trevor ian 14th november 1960 .and another daughter jackie ann 24th december 1961 and last came myself valerie anita 14th february 1964 .we lived in hampden park since 1960 .mum moved in in 1960 just before trev was born .mum raised us all alone as my dad david wasnt around very much .she made our lives so happy ,always taking us out every day in the summer holidays ,we spent lovely times on the beach with our cheese samwhiches .mum would always invite our friends and neighbours children if they were left alone .we loved princess park and the donkey rides and boat rides and i remember going on the tram up the seafront and the trampolines .i spent a lot of time with mum when i was small i hated school because i never wanted to leave her ,i remember watching andy pandy and bill and ben then house party in the afternoon ,mums cooking was lovely she always made me my favorte stew and dumplings and i loved her gooseberry pie .mum had a warmth and heart like no other .she made us all feel safe ,loved treasured and protected .she really struggled financially ,sometimes we went without electric and gas .mum made a game up if the tv money ran out and we didnt have 50p .even though life was a struggle and we were poor we were all happy .mum made us who we are today and we love you with all our hearts .years of bad nerves and depression you overcome what ever life through at you and came out smileing .im so proud you were my mother .xxxxxx

mum died the year laila was born i put her picture on your sight mum for you to treasure ,we remind her of you every day ,she knows your in heaven and sends lots of baloons up to you .sadly you wasnt here to hold teddie but im sure you were at his birth and helped bring him saftely into the world .they would have adored you mum .i put teddies picture on your site as well ,xxxxx

mum spoke very joyfully about her child days in gloucetor ,sent there during the war with her mum [jinny and dad [alfie and her nan [emily and her sister francis,she remembers her dog judie used to wait for her and fran to come home from school on the bus .every day he would be at the bus stop.i dont think she really wanted to come home to eastbourne,when she did mum and fran went to holly joes school in whitley road eastbourne not far from were she lived at 25 woodgate road, mum was very knowleghable about everything ,she was fascinated with religion and new all the stories in the bible .very kind from an early age she used to look after he elder sister fran who wasnt as confident as mum .;i recall a story mum told me when she and fran went to a birthday party ,mum said she was just getting stuck into her jelly when fran started crying and said ;nee i want to go home ,poor mum was upset but had to leave the party.she spoke of a boy called pat that she was very fond of but didnt want a romance with she said she hated hurting him as he was lovely.then the years at daily and curlys i think thats what she called it .her and her friend vie would be daft allday and laugh at the customers especially the posh ones .mum found life funny she litterally had the gift to see the funny side of anything.very independent and strong no one loved and protected there children and grandchildren the way mum did .she liked a simple life ,she was unmaterialistic exstremely intellegent sincere and loyal,she was my hero everything i wanted to be ,i will treasure my time with mum forever and i wouldnt have swapped her for the world,
