Benita had 5 children, Richie, Tamara,Ashley,Latoya and Rochelle. She had a total of 24 grandchildren. She took care of her grand kids just as well as her own kids, boy did they love her. Although most are too young to understand I will always be there to share the stories of how much my big sis loved her babies. Her children are very strong like she was and they are really having Hard time just as anyone that has lost their life- line, their mother. I don't know how they will handle her absence but I hope that they will lean on each other as well as their 8 aunts. Everyone has different personalities and they deal with things differently but as long as I'M alive I will always be there for them no matter what, I know they know that if not they know now. My heart goes out to them and I pray that they stay strong for I will keep them in my prayers and surround them with POSITIVE ENERGY, love you Richie,Tamara,Ashley,Toya, and RoRo!!!!!!

Benita was the oldest of nine sisters. She was beautiful Woman and caring mother, her children meant the world to her. Her grand kids knew her well and I believe that she was a fine example of what a grand mother should be. She lived on 61st and that neighborhood loved them some Ms Benita, some even called her moma. I will never forget my sister she she will always be in my heart. I cry so much because I talked to her the night before she passed. I do remember her saying good bye and she said"I love you sis". Always tell your family how much you love them you may never know when it will be the last time you hear them say it. Her children are so strong to deal with this tragedy, we are a big family with plenty of love to share with those that are grieving. My mother is grieving also for this is her second child that she has lost. My prayers are with my sisters and my nieces,nephews, and her grand children. FOREVER LOVED AND NEVER FORGOTTEN BENITA VERNER WE LOVE YOU!!!!!
