Born in 1922,Benjamin attended East New York Vocational High.He later worked as a short order cook at The United Nations and at Robert Day Dean Catering.He loved all sports,especially football and was a big fan of the Giants.He was also a fan of spicy food and enjoyed eating out.During the depression era,he saw most of the big bands and met a number of movie stars including Walter Matthau,Barbara Striesand,and Judy Garland He hard a wonderful sense of humor and loved to read the paper everday,even at the age of 90.

How can I forget all of the times you  encouraged me and  gave me advice.You never lost faith in me,and had such a kind heart.Everyone who you met remarked what a gentleman you were.
