Reverend Gentleman Ti kii paro,ti kii jale(GONE BUT NEVER FORGOTTEN)
Just like yesterday in the 80s on our long trip to&fro OYO ALAFIN,the memories of our encounters with Nigerian Police expecting to receive bribes and your humorous manner of response to correct the unfortunate menace in the society generated the slogan,,,,,,,I AM A REVEREND GENTLEMAN TI KII PARO,TI KII JALE.
How do I describe this great icon who despite his humble background made tremendous and remarkable impact in his generation. He had a great sense of integrity in a perverse world of corruption, his sense of punctuality was second to none and his ideology on the relevance of education was immeasurable. He had an incurable sense of humor to give hope to hopeless situations,he consistently lifted up those around with kind words, funny jokes and humble ear.Reverend Gentleman was the most sincerely altruistic person I have known with no attachment to material things,he preferred to build his children instead of mansions,he invested in the kingdom business instead of frivolities. His life, his influence, his energy is inextricably linked to mine and I take solace in that.Hummmnn,,,,,we shared great moments together,Reverend Gentleman was intelligent ,his attention to detail was infectious ,taught us many tricks to solve mathematical problems while growing up.
YOU ARE ALWAYS ON MY MIND DAD!!!!!!!!!!!

We remember you today daddy, one year has gone so fast and so quickly like a flash of light. The memories of your fatherly but firm, tenderly but uncompromising love still live with us today.

We remember those values and core principles of faith, discipline and self control which have become priceless and ageless legacies that we hold in very high esteem to your credit, which we also endeavor to pass on to our own children.

We believe you are resting peacefully and comfortably in the bosom of our Lord Jesus, with whom you committed the last days of your life serving diligently until death took you away from us.

Rest on daddy, we love you so dearly.

From Myself, my wife and our lovely children.

Revd gentle man as I fondly call you. You were a man full of integrity. Your love for academic excellence and the things of God cannot be overlooked. You loved God and most especially, you loved me specially.
I will live to remember your contribution to my success in life. When I took a bold step of relocation, so many condemned me, but you fully supported it.
I've missed you and I'm still missing you. We use to sing together even on phone, distance was not our barrier.
Our song written by Tope Alabi:
Igba ti mo to o, ise iyanu re laye mi, moripe oga, moripe oga, moripe oga Baba !2ce.
You were truly a father to me not a father in law. I will make sure I do all what you told me about living a life of impact.
My children and I love you, but God loves you more.
Rip loving grandpa!

My dear father-in-law, you are a great man that is knowledgeable, intelligent and hardworking. I thank God that you dedicated your latter end to know God and you were always conscious of the fact that one day you will be with the lord-as you always say in your prayers "that before we see death let us see Jesus" Indeed i believe you saw Jesus and you are resting in the bosom of the lord because this was my prayer for you on your sick bed for God to grant you eternal rest,if it is time.
we will greatly miss your frequent calls, stories and good sense of humour. we love you Daddy . Adieu ! we shall meet again in eternity where we shall part no more.

A RARE LEGEND - REVD. B.O OLAREWAJU
Daddy, you came, you saw and you conquered. There can never be a father with such a great impact to his generation like you !!!
January 17th 2019, the day I dreaded most finally came when I received that call you passed on.
I cried with all the memories of your love and sacrifices towards your children and particularly me. We were great allies. We conquered together, you taught me all I know today
I cried with all the memories of your discipline, hardwork and truthfulness. You made everyone fall in without pressure just by leading by example
I cried with memories of how you bore the torch of education and inspired many family and friends to attain education. You saved so many generations from abyss of ignorance, regret and intellectual failure
I cried with memories of your humility and liveliness. No dull moment with you... all our friends and folks always want to be around you to learn,be happy and appreciate life
I cried with memories of your selflessness, sacrifices and leadership spirit in times of despair. You gave everything even when you don’t have anything. At least you give hope when it seems there is nothing to offer
Finally, I rejoiced and full of gladness because you knew Christ. You achieved ALL by his Grace. You fought the good fight of Faith and there lays before you a Crown . Am so proud to be your son!
I celebrate you my ‘Reverend Gentleman’...A rare legend you were and will ever be.

To everything under the sun there is a season. A time to be born and a time to die. An iroko tree has just fallen and the entire forest feels the vibration of its fall. I cried all day long after receiving the sad news of my father’s passing; I was constantly checking my phone and hoping to receive another message saying my father was alive again.
I was home alone with my little children when I heard the news and they were wondering what has suddenly gone wrong? They asked me; Daddy are you alright? Daddy please play with us, daddy can I get you some water? When they come of age, I will tell them the special story of a unique grand-father who showered me with an overflow of care and abundance of love.
Daddy, you loved me with passion and I will forever be grateful for your love. I studied very hard at school, so I could pay back some of your love and make you feel proud of me because you were also very passionate about my education. Today, my career and every other accomplishments are all products of your investments in me.
Rest in peace daddy. Until we meet again at the feet of our Lord Jesus Christ, I love you beyond measure. You are a legend in my heart. Legends don’t die, they continue to live on in our minds and thoughts.
